3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Orange color with a fluffy white head. There’s a bit of orange peel in the aroma. The flavor is a touch peppery before becoming a light citrusy hop affair. Easy to drink and not bad at all.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
"a little more assertive in the aroma than Cutthroat Pale. Still a little thin and one dimensional on the palate. Overall, a little grass and citrus and biscuit malt. average."

355ml bottle from Beers Of Europe.Poured a copper orange pour with a decent sized whitish head which was fairly stable.Caramel malt aroma with citrus and fruit in there too along with a subtle pine hint too.In the taste the citrus comes through stronger with bread, malt and pine a little more in the background.Quite tasty.

An okay Pale Ale but nothing special. Decent balance of some citrus hops with a caramel flavor. Medium bodied, medium appeal.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20

Slightly hazy amber beer. Palate is just the crisp side of neutral. A minerally spritzy start with a hint of aniseed. Marmaladey hops. Finishes with more minerals and a hint of hop bitterness. Not bad.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Originally reviewed: 2/1/09. Pours a dark orange with an inch-sized head. Retains fairly well, and leaves some webbing. No lacing rings present. Smells really citrusy and hoppy! This smells like an IPA in every way. Some piney scents touched with a slighty honey sweetness.
Nice crisp bitter bite right at the onset on this one. Some bready maltiness is present, but pushed out of the way by the big hop presence. I dig this. This is a great representation of my kind of APA! I wish I could get this locally.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy light copper color with a fluffy whitish head and some lacing. Aroma is of bready carmel malts with some hints of fruit and light hops. Taste is well balanced, with grapefruit hop bitterness accented with some pine, that mingles nicely with a malt base. Caramel and a hint of fruity orange, with a lot of fresh breadiness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderately high carbonation.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bready malt and hops in the aroma. Flavor was surprising--started malty and sweet with a little sourness in the finish and almost no bitterness. Didn’t like it at first but it grew on me--I’ll try this again.

Pale amber with an off-white head.
Caramel and citrus is what I get here.
It was kind of unfair to sample this at a beer festival after several heavy barley wines and imperial stouts. I’m sure it would be nice with a burger.
