Ungstrup (11353), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 8, 2005 An unclear amber beer with a huge orange head. The aroma is sweet and very hoppy - and so is the flavor combined with some over ripe fruit notes. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Oct 12, 2004 2003 vintage, sampled draught at Stuffed Sandwich, Greater Los Angeles.
Dark brown with creamy head. Some vinous berries upo front. Sweet, buttery and very malty. Salty with loads of toffee. More of an English style barley wine, than an American hop monster variety. May I call for the substyle Utah Barley Wine ;-) Oakes (6966), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Apr 7, 2005 Updated: Jun 14, 20052004: Golden-chestnut colour. Chocolatey, orangey aroma. Chocolatey, grapefruity, toasty, alcoholic flavour. This one is ready now, and quite pleasant.
2003: Bright reddish-brown colour. Chewy crystal malt aroma. Very earthy, bitter. Raw, with lots of heat. Maybe but it’s still young and needs the edge taken off the heat and bitterness.
