Looks fantastic. Now and dark with a super foamy head. Sadly looks better than it smells. Also better than it taste. Not bad but not great. Better than most generic leaders. Nothing special here though.

Bottle shared by Saturday Shirt and poured into a pint glass. Dark black in color with some off white head. Roasty aroma. Some mild smoke. Taste is also very much in the roasted malts and nuts vein. Maybe a slight smoke to it as well. Little bit of bitterness at the end. Pretty mild and thin which holds it back a little from greatness.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Pours a deep brown with a nice tan head with nice lacing. Aroma is roasted coffee. Taste is thick, sweet; toffee, caramel & coffee. Finish is clean, not what I expecte from a "lager".

10oz tulip glass poured from tap, dense light-brown head that receded at a medium pase with nice lacing; beautiful dark brown; surprisingly light and clean malty aroma; light-medium body, minimal bitterness, straightforward, pleasantly effervescent, dissipating roasty sweet finish but not too quickly.

Can at home while visiting jacksonville. Pours a coke colour with an off white head. Aroma is light liquorice, caramel, dark fruit. Light body, medium carbonation. Its thin. Smoky choc, some lemon, a little dark fruit and rum. Too thin. Pretty dull.

Pour a nice almost black with a nice beige head that receded quickly, nice lacing. Aroma is roasted malt and coffee. Taste is mildly bitter coffee. Thin body, bitter finish. As session beers go, this one is really good.

A drinkable session black lager with good taste. A good example of a Schwarzbier which is a difficult thing to find on tap lately. I found it at Riverwest Filling Station in Milwaukee, WI.
