Wow. Bottle from Ty. Black pour with medium lingering head. Nose is coffee and sweetness with a bit of smoke. Body is smooth and mellow. Coffee and chocolate in there with just a mild lingering bitterness to remind you that those Utah people are Crazy. ---Rated via my mouth

Nice roasty aroma. great lager taste up front. coffee flavors on the back end are wonderful. The beer is ruined by a slight metallic aftertaste.

Can from Bottles & Cans. Served in a footed pilsner glass. Bready chocolate syrup aroma think Nestle Qwick. Great black pour with a thick solid beige head of foam. It has a medium body and a soft mouthfeel with a round carbonation. The taste is a pleasant soft cocoa powder with chewy bready dark malts. Pretty good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a dark brown with mahogany highlights. Nice mix of dark malts and with a bitter finish. I think this is well made, but I didn’t really enjoy it.

12 oz. bottle from Berkeley Bowl West. It pours a dark cola brown color with a tan head. The aroma is pumpernickel bread with some coffee and smoke. The flavor is the same. LIght bodied with smoke, bread, coffee and light caramel. It has a bready, spicy bitter finish. Really tasty. Well done.

Aroma of malt, coffee grounds, dirt and trees. Light bodied and burnt taste. Malt, earth, coffee, oak, roast flavor. Simple but darn good.

It was a wonderfully surprising beer...it was malty and delicious ...I'm not normally a fan of black lagers but this one was great

Bottle. Aroma roasted malts and small hint of chocolate. Taste is grainy. Roasted malts, chocolate, milk, caramel and some spice. Thin but good flavor. Smooth and light. Some cardboard taste at end. Overall decent.

Pretty solid black lager. Very malt forward with some light roast and hops present. Slightly dry with a little caramel as well. Pretty good version of a hardto nail style."

Bottle. Pours a cola color with a thick beige head. Coffee nose. Seems sweet for a lager but good flavor with the coffee notes coming through and bitterness both from hops and malt. A bit chalky end but overall very good and by far my favorite from Uinta.

Pours an espresso black with light, toffee colored head. Nose is caramel, light chocolate and malt. Enters with crispness into the palate where mild hops make their presence known alongside the more expected roasted malts. Pleasing and clean with mild bitterness, not a favorite but tasty and interesting. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
