Robust and smooth, this full-flavored lager is exceptionably drinkable and pitch black in color.

Aroma is fairly strong coffee with some chocolate notes. Pours black with decent tab head that hangs around for a little while. Taste is smooth to start with more chocolate than coffee. Finishes a little more of the coffee than I'd like but a decent black lager. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark brown with light brown head. Aroma is light roasted biscuit. Flavor is light malt feel but very nice roasted flavor. Slight citrus hop balance. Roast and citrus finish. Probably best black lager I've had.

12 oz can poured. Pours a dark chocolate brown color with a nice roasted malt aroma with a touch of hops. Really enjoyed this one. Super smooth and easy drinking with a ton of flavor. Touch of smoke. Solid, tasty beer.

Smells like a stout. Has a wonderful roasted, smooth chocolate caramel taste. One of the best lagers I have had in a long time. Maybe my fav. Schwartz beer ever.

Pours dark brown almost black with an amber tint and a tan head. Roasted malt smokiness with light chocolate aroma and biscuity yeast. Sweet caramel malt and vanilla start followed with smokey flavor and Dark cocoa. Finishing with slight citrus hop. Makes me want to find a campfire to drink this beside.

Aroma is all coffee and toasty malts. Beautiful key black colour with dark khaki head. Minimal lacing. Taste is coffee malt earthy notes and bitter.

12 oz on tap. clear dark brown liquid. Like a cola. very fine head of white small bubbles. and a nose of roasted malt. Taste of caramel, licorice and a rather dry black coffee flavor with a good amount of roasted malt. The body is thin. Finishes smooth, not syrupy, which is one of it’s finer qualities.

Dark, dark brown pour with a nice beige two-finger head that dissipated after a minute but left nice lacing. Really nice looking beer (poured into shaker from can). Smoke and toast aromas. Smoke, coffee and a hint of caramel, dirt, and dark chocolate. Very drinkable. Would be a good accompaniment to a backyard bbq.

Nice roasty aroma. great lager taste up front. coffee flavors on the back end are wonderful. The beer is ruined by a slight metallic aftertaste.

Can from Bottles & Cans. Served in a footed pilsner glass. Bready chocolate syrup aroma think Nestle Qwick. Great black pour with a thick solid beige head of foam. It has a medium body and a soft mouthfeel with a round carbonation. The taste is a pleasant soft cocoa powder with chewy bready dark malts. Pretty good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
