UPDATED: JAN 3, 2013 Pours a dark brown with a monster five finger tan head that takes forever to die down. Aroma is subtle coffee and roasted malts. Taste is similar to a porter, but lighter mouthfeel. Good slightly hoppy/sweet malt finish. This is a good brew, but not especialy noteworthy.

Pours pretty much black with a thumb of frothy light tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, citrus, leather and maybe just a hint of soy. Taste is nicely burnt with light bitterness at first before it develops into a more complex balance between sweet bread and bitter roasted malt. Body is a touch too light for the taste but that’s expected of the style.

My first Uinta. More brown than black, but still a success. Minor smoke notes, more of a burntness to it. At 4.0, fun to drink and get the complex flavors without worrying about the alcohol.

Slightly sour aroma. Dark black little foam. Has a sour toasted chocolate flavor almost like a Guinness cut with a Czech pils.................. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours nearly black, rubied.....with a huge, cascading dark tan head. Aroma is malt, cola, smoky dark chocolate. Flavour is chocolate, roast, malt............. very light. Needs more muscle, overall, but very tasty, just a wee bit too light and mild.

355mL at the Quad in Las Vegas. Clear deep cola. Medium tan foam. Good retention. Black ipa style nose with waxy dark chocolate and resin. Taste is lactic, mild hoppy bitterness, mild pine resin, coffee roast. Pretty solid.
