3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
From the 11/2014 3R6P gathering. +++ Sampled from a 750 ml corked brown bottle this beer poured a murky orange-amber color with an enormous fluffy orange-white head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was tart and sour with sour patch candies and hints of pepper and chalk. The flavor was very sour, tart and fruity with citric acid, sour patch candies and yeast. Long tart and sour citric acid finish. Medium body. Interesting.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
[Bottle (750ml) shared with GregClow, Radek, jercraigs & mabel -- c/o j&m] Pours a hazy yellow-gold with a small diminishing bubbly white head. Aroma is sour and citrusy along with some herbs, grain and wheat. Flavour of sour citrus, light herbs and a bit of wood in the finish. Average bodied. A bit too one-dimensional for me, the Farmhouse aspect of it gets lost.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
2014-09-26. Hazy yellow orange body with a small white head. 3+ Aroma has a touch of cereal grains, strangely but pleasantly fruity. Flavour is sharply sour up front but becomes refreshingly so after a few sips. Light lemon character lingers, lemon rind and pith. Smooth avg bodied palate, modest carbonation. 3+ Tasty. Bottle, as pictured. Very very different. Cool. Fits the bill of a sour farmhouse. Hazy golden yellow pour. Sour but not a total pucker. Little bit of spice and heavy on the citrus.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Heavy grain for the malt, light lemon for the hops, moderate musty for the yeast, with apple, wood, honey and vinegar in the background. Head is small to average, fizzy, white with no lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is murky medium amber. Flavor starts heavily acidic and sour, then finishes heavily acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is medium, watery with a fizzy carbonation and a tart finish. Clean, crisp and tasty Sour Ale, yet remains easy to drink.
