3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Date: May 19, 2012 Mode: Bottle Source: footbalm Description: Orangish red pour with some head that faded quick and left a thin layer on top. Fruity, yeasty and light funk. Taste was a tart fruit and grainy/bready with a dry finish. Had to crack this one for my birthday today. Thanks Eric!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from choadal wine. Aroma is semi tart fruit and copper pennies. Taste is mildly tart at first then finishes very weird with a buttery finish. Just ok, was expecting better for such a steep price tag and all the other great Uinta beers ive had.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 c&c from Brewforia. Pours rather rose with a creamy not quite white head. Aroma is slightly tart fruit. Med body more or less. Don’t know where the sour is, but there is some moderately tart cherry. They clearly need to rethink or reclassify this. It’s an ok drink, but sour? The brewers should try Liefmans Kriek Ongezoet op Vat to get an idea about sour. Does finish a little dry and astringent. Harmless, except to the wallet.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
750ml Bottle: Almost no aroma, though hints of grain and cherry.
Poured ruby red in color with a small, fizzy, off-white/pink head that disappeared but then reappeared as a small, creamy, dense, off-white head as a film on top of the beer, as well as around the edges. Cloudy. Very sparkling. Full of small-sized particles throughout. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of slight cherry and grain. Medium body. Average texture. Average to slightly lively carbonation. Lightly sweet, fain grain, and faint cherry finish. A sour?????

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle marked as bottled on 3/29/2012. Pours with a crystal clear pink hued body with a large and lasting white-pink colored head. Aromas are lightly of sulfur when cold, some mineral qualities. As it warms, a very light funk, large cherry aromas, medium esters, dried fruit and a bit of a peach like ester. Flavors are mildly tart, a bit of wet dog, sweet cherries, pie cherries, bready malt, some caramel. Mild lactic acid. Tangy sweet and sour dichotomy. Medium tartness, light cherry tannin. Lively bubbles with a medium to thin body with some carbonation. Oddly syrupy texture on the tongue at times. Pretty lifeless to be honest. Towards the end of the bottle I tried blending it with a earthier/funkier Pinot and that seemed to improve the character. Not entirely sure exactly what Uinta was aiming for with this one.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
To me this is a fruit beer. The pour is amber with a red hue. The head is bubbly and pink. The aroma has a bunch of cherries and some wheat. The flavor is quite sour indeed with a lot of cherries. The finish is dry and refreshing.
