Thanks to a previous Santa for this bottle which I shared with tastybeer over the holidays. It was not a great beer but serves as a reference for how not to make a sour. On the other hand if you are looking for an alcoholic alternative to Cherry 7UP this is your ticket.
Aroma / Appearance - The rosy red base absorbs most ambient light. Cherry cough drops are dry and sweet yet not pleasing at all. This looks appealing but smells like fool’s gold.
Flavor / Palate - Tasting much like it smells this is more Cherry 7UP than fruity sour. Lacking even the faintest hint of tartness it tickles the palate before fading quickly. If you’ve got to tick more sours give it a try. Otherwise look for anything better.

750ml bottle. Pours a clear reddish copper color with a small off white head. Aroma of sour cherries, honey, and sweet malt. Tasted like sour cherries, pie crust, and honey. It had a clean sweet and sour aftertaste.

Bottle from Aaron. Thanks! The beer pours an orange color with a big white head. Metal, cardboard, cherry, and a hint of bandaid. Tart lemon, light vinegar, lemon, and bubblegum. The flavor is moderately tart and somewhat sweet. Cherry, bubblegum, and some sweet malt. A bit of cardboard, metal, and a touch of bandaid. Not a big fan.

Bottle as shown. Pours a clear orange with medium frothy white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is sour cherry and funk. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet cherry flavor and very tart finish. Good.

Ruby-copper, clear, pink-tinged head. Aroma: moderate earthy/dusty funk, subtle natural cherry character, underlying grainy malt. Flavor: grainy-sweet pilsner malt, restrained sourness, some earthy funk, subtle cherry notes, lightly sour acidity in finish. Very drinkable restrained sour with nice cherry character.

Bottle... Clear burnt-orange pour with a small, creamy, white head. The bouquet is nearly bursting with cherry essence and a hint of toffee. Medium-bodied and thin with soft carbonation. The flavor is tart and hints at sour cherries. Finishes tangy, thin and watery. Bottle courtesy of landhoney!

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear reddish amber with a white head. Nose has metal and dry berries. Light body, very dry and tart cherries with a metallic twist. May be considered quenching but really leaves some astringent tannins on my teeth. 060413

Bomber---> Burnt Hickory tulip. Pours a light amber with a hint of red and quickly disappating white head. Aroma is pretty malty with a small hint of cherry. Taste is light, mildly sour cherry and nondescript malt. Nice lively palate. Neither very sour or very cherry. Not bad, but kind of a letdown.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Clear amber with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and light cherries. Flavor is medium sweet and light acidic. Dry and light acidic finish. 050413

Bottle. Clear amber with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, cherries, little sour and baking yeast. Flavour is malt, little cherries, baking yeast, fruit, little over carbonated, medium sweet and a tiny bit sour.
