750ml Bottle. The pour was a clear cranberry orange with a small (less than 1 finger) light pink fizzy head that quickly diminished, down to just a small collar and had fair runny lacing. The aroma was of sour cherries right off the bat with a mild grain malt and a musty Brett yeast and possessed a light fruity ester and a mild bubblegum scent. The taste was sweetly tart with a strong note of cherries early on, progressing with a bold funky yeast presence and a sour cherry finish. The flavor lasted an average time after the swallow, with the yeasty sour cherry taste fading slowly off the taste buds. Mouthfeel was light in body and dry in texture with a fizzy champagne-like carbonation. Overall this was a tasty and refreshing brew with a very powerful fruit presence and a decent sweet-sour ending...

My Bottom Line:
This bubbly fruit beer develops tart cherries which plummet into a watery finish, touched by wheat.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the cloudy pinkish red.
-A dusty moment takes away from the brightness of the cherries.
-Mouthfeel is relatively dry.
-For a tart and fruity brew, this creation lacks flavor clarity and acidity.

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours copper amber, nose is sour cherry, sugary, taste is similar, a little fizzy.

Bottle (03/20/12) at Eulogy. Cloudy orange-red pour with some slight foam on top. Has the strong taste of sour cherries. Feels quite a bit musty (not necessarily a bad thing) as if dust and cobwebs are included. Mandarin orange slices. Thankfully much more sour than sweet. Not overly complex but feels refreshingly honest and unfiltered.

2012: pretty sad example of a sour. lightly tart, and would make an OK fruit beer, but there’s little of the classic acidity or oak, or layers. not bad, but quite boring.

This beer pours a clear reddish-brown color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of cherry, butterscotch and spice. Light to medium body with flavors of tart cherries, earthy yeast and malt. The finish is moderately sour with a cherry and berry aftertaste. Decent overall.

Veeeery sour. Like, so sour it occludes the actual cherry flavor. A bit of a disappointment.

Poured from bottle to snifter. Hazy straw hue with fizzy white head. Aroma is earthy Brett, straw, lactic, pie cherries, white peppercorn. Mouthfeel is nice with medium light body and high carbonation. Taste is wheat sweetness initially with a tart sourness throughout. Overall this is a nice farmhouse brew.

this is an incredible sour cherry, drinks like some of the best belgian sours, effervescent with a dry finish, plenty of cherry in the nose and the body.

750 mL bottle from State Line Liquors, bottled 3/20/12. Pours a clear red color with a large frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of tart cherries, earth, citrus, mild vegetal notes. The taste is intense tart cherries, caramel, citrus, some peppery spice. Medium bodied, lingering tartness, high carbonation, nicely sour. Nice beer.

Bottled 05MAR13 ABV 7.4% Dark brown with cherry hues, a loose, scattered light tan foam. Smells of wood, vanilla, some sweet cream - nothing like a wild of any kind... Flavor is tart, acetic, metallic, some oak, mostly tart metal here -poor showing. Medium bodied with loose, moderate carb and a dry finish. A really disappointing offering.
