im not a big ipa person, but i have to admit rye tends to mellow out the harshness of the hops.

A very solid Rye IPA! As advertised, it is spicy, hoppy, yet incredibly smooth. Once again, quite impressed with Uinta’s Crooked Line. 750ml bottle : bottled 5.30.13 - holds up well.

750ml bottle. Unfiltered glowing orange-red body. Frothy, glass rimming off-white head. The aroma wasn’t that impressive, but I opened the beer more than 9 months after it was bottled. Some piny pine-sol rye hairspray action. Rich and big, with a pronounced Rye thing going on. Some IIPA tones of course, but mostly all about the oily, resinous Rye thing, which the chinook hops do complement. Pretty solid product. Burnt oily tones get to me after awhile. I’m just not so into 90% of Rye beers.

750ml bottle in Seattle. Hazy light wooden brown, strong grain ale. Light green hops. Very sweet alcohol, a little under developed. but ruddy grain is nice, good rye. Chalky bitter, not all the way there but a solid, interesting tasty beer.

It’s a gusher, but semi opaque amber with a bone colored head. Aroma is sweet with tangerine and cherry. Taste is the same, with a prickly drying quality. $9/750

Bottle shared by beerboxer. Pours amber brown with white head. Taste is big on the rye. Has a nice hop taste by rye is almost to much on this one.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2014 Bomber. The beer pours to a deep amber color with a large head. The aroma has a distinct rye, caramel, a mild citrus hop scent as well. The taste has a sweet upfront taste with a nice balanced finish. Overall a different but very good D RIPA.
