Launch into the exquisite flavors of bourbon with splashes of vanilla. Watch for currents of dark chocolate and dried fruit. Generous amounts of hops and malts make for a smooth journey from start to finish. Decadent desserts and aged cheeses make superb companions.

Bottle shared with Ken and Vi. Pours a deep murky mahognay brown body with thin off white lacing. Aroma is maple, molasses, booze, oak and super sweet sugar. Mouthfeel is medium with lots of booze, oak, molasses and sweet fruity malt. Too much booze character.

Pours dark brown with a lasting soapy head. Taste has a bite to it with little to no notes of bourbon.

On tap, pours couldy dark amber with a big head, lots of lacing. Nose is complex, hope, oak, vanilla, alcohol. Attack is smooth, warm, complex but very balanced. A long lingering finish with just the right bitterness to mellow the high alcohol sweetness.

Pours deep mahogany with a large tan head. Smells of pine, caramel, vanilla, and hints of bourbon. Taste is hints of pine, vanilla, woody, and caramel. Full-bodied with smooth texture with a soft mouth-carbonation, Uinta Crooked Line Cockeyed Cooper finishes with a lingering sweet dryness.

Pours cherry brown, huge head. Lost a lot when I pooped the cork, have a glass handy. Aroma of dried fruit, caramel vanilla. Taste is much the same. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2013 bottle. Pours a dark reddish-brown with a huge foamy off-white head that lingers and leaves a lot of lacing. Big sweet aroma, of dark fruits, malt, brown sugar, booze, raisins, wood. Taste is very boozy, with sweet malt and dark fruits, and a big woody undertone. Lingering booze. Nice but could be better balanced.

"solid brew if you liked barreled beers, which i do. worth the price? not really, as Uintaís AV Barleywine is just as good for much less. well balanced hops, vanilla/oak/bourbon, and some sweet malts. quite nice, but not a standout in the BW world."

Poured at the Tipples Rare and Barrel Aged Beer Tasting on July 13, 2014. Pours murky light brown with a fluffy white head on top. Aroma is unexpected with huge lemony citrus peel and not much else. Flavor follows with more big lemons--like chewing on the fruit--and very light caramel. Really not much else going on here, and while the flavor is only described as lemony, it isnít particularly bitter either. Maybe Iím drinking lemon Pinesol? Light to medium bodied--strange for a barleywine, particularly one aged in barrels--with medium plus carbonation. This was weird. Pretty much the exact opposite of expectations going in on a BA Barleywine. I canít say it was bad, just not right.

On tap at Joe Canals West Deptford.
Appearance: Hazy/murky chestnut body with a creamy caramel colored head.
Aroma: The aroma is big and complex with faded orange peel, fig, musky malts, oak and brown sugar. Smells aged a bit and smells complex.
Taste: Big oak and musky malts up front with oak and a mild bitterness overlaying hints of fig and faded orange. The finish picks up vanilla and toasted coconut with bourbon ending the sip. This is pretty darn good.
Palate: Medium bodied and moderately carbonated.
Overall: Pretty darn good bourbon barrel barleywine, perhaps a bit past itís prime, but certainly a good sipper with the booze kept in check.

Dark brown pour with a big tan head. Big hoppy aromas. Notes of dark fruit as well but the hops are very present. Flavor is also fairly hoppy. Drank this one fresh, a year or two in the cellar would get this where it needs to be.
