3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle from BOTW (Rochester), served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.
App.: Clear deep amber with a full, tight, orange-tan head.
Aroma: Quite sweet, richly malty, a bit savoury/brothy, big citrus with some resin/pine, dark toffee/treacle, a little berry-like fruitiness, some alcohol.
Palate: Medium+ body, fairly full, fine, velvety carbonation, kinda syrupy/slick.
Flav.: Richly malty with a savoury/brothy/dusty undertone, fairly full citrus and pine/resin, alcohol, black pepper, big stuff, quite sticky and sweet but also very hoppy; sweet with big bitterness and a long, malty, peppery, boozy finish.
Detour into the ditch. Jeebus, what a big beer!

good flavor. good maltiness to balance the hops. A little on the sweet side, but overall a solid double ipa

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Didn't really care for this one; the pour had no head and looked kinda like the water after a paintbrush is washed in it. The alcohol overpowered the flavor a bit for me - taste was ok, just too boozy and not really my schtick.

First review so please bare with me ;)
Aroma: Malt steals the show. On the background, piney, fruity (apricot-citrux). App: amber with carbonation, white head. Taste: Good American double IPA but a little too much malty and syrup too much present, Nice bitter finish though. Palate: Thick. Overall: Great double IPA, happy that I drank it and would drink it again. Not he best double IPA I drank but far from the worst I drank.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma of a bready maltiness with slight piney hops, but malt dominates. Taste is bready malt with a piney bitter finish. Palate is a bit thick and syrupy. Ok ipa, but not very balanced and much too malty.

Draft: very nice double IPA. Lots of tropical fruits and citrus sit on top of a big bready malt backbone.... Nice and sticky hops. Loved it.

I wish I could describe the flavors and feel of what I didn’t like about this beer. I was expecting so much from the makers of hop nosh and was pretty bummed. Its not what I was expecting from the makers of hop nosh. They should have just doubled that recipe.
