COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Detour blazes the trail for fresh and bold Double IPAs. Four varieties of hops combine to step up the flavor profile. A hoppy adventure that finishes dry. Big in alcohol and character. Venture to pair with other spirited flavors such as those found in spicy ethnic foods.

Pours dark orange with a medium sized beige head. Smells strongly of citrus and tropical fruits. Taste is sweet fruity with a balanced, complimentary bitterness. Full-bodied with a smooth texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Uinta Detour Double India Pale Ale finishes with a lingering citrus bitterness.

Bottle from Jon Rons Brielle. Label says bottle on Sep. ’11. Just noticed. No wonder it was so dusty. Very good nonetheless. Caramel, sugar, roasted malt, sweet hop, toffee, nuts. Flavor is bitter but overshadowed by the sweet. Full and flavored. Good stuff. Really good.

Smell is fruity orange rind caramel malt and pine. Taste is alcoholic harsh hops. Not enjoyable. Drained. Would rather drink Coors.

Bottle from Save On. Clear copper with small head and lace. Grapefruit rind budd and sweet toffee aroma. Medium spicy fruity caramel sweetness with spicy citrus hop and complex lingering caramel raw honey spicy finish. Too long in the sweet finish. Medium full body. Pretty good.

Bottle, bbotmc. Cloudy amber. A little dry onion, red grapefruit and a little passion fruit aroma. Tastes bitter, very dry but with tropical fruit undertones. Full bodied, fairly carbonated with a long, dry, citrusy bitter finish. Campari anyone?

Appearance- cloudy (almost unfiltered), nice bone white head with great lacing, amber and copper hue. Smell- Mango! Mango! Mango! Awesome nose! Pine and some grass too. Taste- moderately bitter, amps up after swallowing and beyond. Excellent finish. Malty. Mouthfeel- very very full. Drinks like a big boy. Not light at 9.5%, but feels like it should be 10 or above. Overall- excellent! A keeper. Highly recommend. Cheers all!

12oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. Slightly hazy deep amber color with a decent off white head. Rich nose of sweet ripe fruits, caramel malt, some piney notesת, hop resin and faint sulfur. Chewy sweet malt, honey, resinous hops, alcohol soaked fruits and bitter marmalade. Heavy, oily, rich, alcohol is too noticeable. OK.
