Detour blazes the trail for fresh and bold Double IPAs. Four varieties of hops combine to step up the flavor profile. A hoppy adventure that finishes dry. Big in alcohol and character. Venture to pair with other spirited flavors such as those found in spicy ethnic foods.

Uinta Detour DIPA doesn’t live up to hype for me. Dark amber pour with a thick tan head. Fairly strong fruity aromas are nice. The tropical fruit flavors start to come out in the taste but are quickly masked by a strong alcohol note and overly pine hop character and a bitter aftertaste. Detour is definitely not the best in the DIPA category.

Dank hops and a fairy thick brew. I like it but not for the price, as its a good iipa priced higher than many of the best iipas. Citrus peel and a fairly sweet malty base gives way to a big bittersweet finish. On tap tasted older and a little overly malty."

Poured from bottle. Copper color with off white head. Tropical fruit aroma with citrus and sweet dried papaya. Sweet tropical fruit start followed by big grapefruit and finishing with big resiny pine. Leaves my tongue tingling a little in finish. Thick sticky sweet mouthfeel. Really nice brew!

Big sweet tropical notes, big citrus and candied fruit. A big smelling beer. Have I used the word big enough? The taste is nice and bitter. Lots of tropical fruit, resinous hops and a sweet malt backbone. Good stuff. Some underlying garlic too. Great double IPA.

Piney hop aroma upon pouring but the alcohol smell increased as beer warmed. Earthy spicy-ness on the palate with a long bitter finish. Copper colored with a thin, sticky head that laces briefly. Surprisingly subtle for a 9.5% Imperial IPA. My first from Uinta. Looking forward to more.

This is a damn good imperial IPA. It pours a really clear amber color, with a lot of sticky suds. The aroma is sweet cereal malts behind a really bright citrus hop character. Apples, pine, and mellow bread notes in the flavor. This beer was really good.

On tap poured a clear orange-copper hue w/ a small foamy white head. Moderate malty aroma. Initial flavor is moderate sweet w/ a moderate bitter finish. Tastes are orange, malt and straw. Full bodied and balanced mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Deep amber hazy pour with a thin off white head .... Aroma of citrusy hops and chewy caramel malts along with some piney hops .... Taste is of chewy caramel malts citrusy and fruity with some piney notes but most citrusy notes and a strong ibu and malty backbone. Has some resiny qualities ... Has a dry lingering bitter hoppy resinous bite ... Has a great citrusy bite

12 oz bottle poured in shaker. Complexion is a dark orange with a small white head, quick to fizz away and stay as lacing. Smells mostly like caramel, some citrus hops. Medium bodied with a light amount of carbonation. Caramel malt flavor dominates, bitter piney hops come in and combine for a dry finish. Caramel flavor lingers, I’m not a fan of this flavor in beer stick to candy. Overall a good product for most drinkers.
