COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Detour blazes the trail for fresh and bold Double IPAs. Four varieties of hops combine to step up the flavor profile. A hoppy adventure that finishes dry. Big in alcohol and character. Venture to pair with other spirited flavors such as those found in spicy ethnic foods.

Appearance- cloudy (almost unfiltered), nice bone white head with great lacing, amber and copper hue. Smell- Mango! Mango! Mango! Awesome nose! Pine and some grass too. Taste- moderately bitter, amps up after swallowing and beyond. Excellent finish. Malty. Mouthfeel- very very full. Drinks like a big boy. Not light at 9.5%, but feels like it should be 10 or above. Overall- excellent! A keeper. Highly recommend. Cheers all!

12oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. Slightly hazy deep amber color with a decent off white head. Rich nose of sweet ripe fruits, caramel malt, some piney notesת, hop resin and faint sulfur. Chewy sweet malt, honey, resinous hops, alcohol soaked fruits and bitter marmalade. Heavy, oily, rich, alcohol is too noticeable. OK.

Dark hazy copper-amber with cream colored froth. Aroma of caramel, melon, toast, and citrus. Taste is toasty, semi-sweet, fruity and herbal, and moderately bitter. Medium-full bodied, slightly fizzy, and dry.

Bottle. Better Beer Of The Month Club. Rather clear deep golden with an off-white head. Pleasant fruity, citric and piney hops with a light stale hint and a malty note. Sweetish malt flavor, a bit caramelly, with slightly citric and piney hops, a light stale note and a nice bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Nice and quite easy-drinking for 9.5%.

Orange pour with a white head. The aroma and flavor have some biscuit malt as well as a hint of caramel. I also get some big peach and orange citrus notes, as well as a hint of pine. There is some sweetness from the malt so there is not too much bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Aroma of floral hops and fruit. Bright and fresh. Green peaches. Bitter finish. Light malt profile for such a high abv. Alcohol well hidden. Nice.

From a 12 of 4. Poured into a pint glass. Pours a nice golden with lots of frothy white sticky head. Dank floral aroma. Thick mouthfeel as to be expected. Taste is thick skunky dank with lots of pine resin and underripe mango. Alcohol and bitterness are very present throughout. Overall a solid but not great IIPA. Would drink again but not necessarily buy again. There's just so much high quality competition in this segment. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
