Detour blazes the trail for fresh and bold Double IPAs. Four varieties of hops combine to step up the flavor profile. A hoppy adventure that finishes dry. Big in alcohol and character. Venture to pair with other spirited flavors such as those found in spicy ethnic foods.

This is a damn good imperial IPA. It pours a really clear amber color, with a lot of sticky suds. The aroma is sweet cereal malts behind a really bright citrus hop character. Apples, pine, and mellow bread notes in the flavor. This beer was really good.

Deep amber hazy pour with a thin off white head .... Aroma of citrusy hops and chewy caramel malts along with some piney hops .... Taste is of chewy caramel malts citrusy and fruity with some piney notes but most citrusy notes and a strong ibu and malty backbone. Has some resiny qualities ... Has a dry lingering bitter hoppy resinous bite ... Has a great citrusy bite

12 oz bottle poured in shaker. Complexion is a dark orange with a small white head, quick to fizz away and stay as lacing. Smells mostly like caramel, some citrus hops. Medium bodied with a light amount of carbonation. Caramel malt flavor dominates, bitter piney hops come in and combine for a dry finish. Caramel flavor lingers, I’m not a fan of this flavor in beer stick to candy. Overall a good product for most drinkers.

pours a clear orange amber with a thin white head and some lacing. fresh pine, peach, honey and orange aroma. taste has notes of wax, honey, apricot, orange peel and coriander. there is a dusty, mineral quality as well. finish is decently long but the dustiness is magnified.

12oz bottle from the brewery. Clear bronze color with a medium white head of foamy bubbles. Nice hoppy aroma of pine, citrus and some rock candy. Nice flavor of piney hops, caramel malt and a good bitterness kick that doesn’t get harsh. Lingers a bit too. No hint of the 9.5 ABV. Very nice.

Bottle from Total Wine in Boca Raton. Pours a deep orange-amber with a moderate head. Some sporadic lacing. Aroma is powerful hop profile with pine, resin, swamp, mangroves, and caramel malt base. The taste was very malty and sweet with the powerful bitter hops bring up the rear. Medium to full body and moderate carbonation. Finish is bitter. It was a little too thick though.

BTBF. Orange color. Caramel malts and hops on the nose. Sweet. Flavor is also sweet with a nice hoppy balance. Good!
