COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Detour blazes the trail for fresh and bold Double IPAs. Four varieties of hops combine to step up the flavor profile. A hoppy adventure that finishes dry. Big in alcohol and character. Venture to pair with other spirited flavors such as those found in spicy ethnic foods.

Aroma is intense hoppiness. Color is a deep amber, with a very slight haze. Taste is resiny, with tons of citrus, particularly grapefruit. Practically no malt flavor. Finish is long, bitter. A bit sweet, but normal for style. Tons of lacing that clings to the side of the glass. Great beer that really shines. Opens up more as it warms.

Didn't really care for this one; the pour had no head and looked kinda like the water after a paintbrush is washed in it. The alcohol overpowered the flavor a bit for me - taste was ok, just too boozy and not really my schtick. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

First review so please bare with me ;) Aroma: Malt steals the show. On the background, piney, fruity (apricot-citrux). App: amber with carbonation, white head. Taste: Good American double IPA but a little too much malty and syrup too much present, Nice bitter finish though. Palate: Thick. Overall: Great double IPA, happy that I drank it and would drink it again. Not he best double IPA I drank but far from the worst I drank.

Aroma of a bready maltiness with slight piney hops, but malt dominates. Taste is bready malt with a piney bitter finish. Palate is a bit thick and syrupy. Ok ipa, but not very balanced and much too malty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft: very nice double IPA. Lots of tropical fruits and citrus sit on top of a big bready malt backbone.... Nice and sticky hops. Loved it.

I wish I could describe the flavors and feel of what I didn’t like about this beer. I was expecting so much from the makers of hop nosh and was pretty bummed. Its not what I was expecting from the makers of hop nosh. They should have just doubled that recipe.

Bottle from whole foods naples. Pours syrupy copper with wispy off white head. Spruce, pine, peach and a little alcohol. Flavour is chewy caramel sweet with astringent bitterness. Bit of alcohol heat on finish.

Pours an orange amber with a full pale yellow head and lots of lacing. Fruity and spicy aroma. Taste is sweet caramel malt, grapefruit juice, strong hop bitterness and a slight breadiness. If it weren’t for the high IBU, I imagine the malty sweetness would be cloying.

Pours a beautiful hazy orange fading to gold - a bubble-strewn sunset with a huge foamy white head. Wet lacing. Aroma is candied caramel and peach - apricot citrus. Taste is a nice balance of caramel malts, grapefruit and piney hoppy bitterness. Actively carbonated, sticky and dry on the palate. Finish is strongly bitter with fairly noticable booze. A pretty high quality IIPA - sweetness toned down and balanced with bitter, but the alcohol is a bit dominant.

We had the first bottle after a homemade pasta dinner. Unfortunately...not paling blame on tomato or bottle compromise...but it left a cat tongue in its wake. Tonight we had a "remember the alamo" moment. Vengeance happened. Clear as mud, as yankees say...smells like syrupy hops...tastes reminiscent of Bells Two Hearted and that’s NEVER a bad thing.

Bottle from Noble Grains, New York, NY. A dark orange/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, pine aroma. Tastes similar, hoppy, citrus, pine, a little dry and bitter.
