4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This ale had an awesome aroma from the bottle, glass and cork! It poured well with a half inch head and clear amber color. But the flavor was a bit more astringent than I was expecting. Overall though a pretty good DIPA.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Head starts off with large quantity of frothy foam from large bottle. Dissipates quickly with lots of lace. Very powerful malt and hop flavor with plenty of warming booze quality.

Flawless copper color. Thin lacey white head. Funky, hoppy danky aroma. Staunch citrus and pine flavor. Medium body. Tons of flavor and even more smoothness. Like the 471 but maybe better, minus the lack of head.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is one of the better IPAs that I’ve ever had. Quite bitter and the most piney of aromas. Rich, deep amber colored, super thick head, and tasty, tasty, tasty!

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
My bottle [750ml] shared with GregClow, mds, jerc & mabel. Pours orange-amber with a large lasting fluffy off-white head. Nice hoppy aroma with lots of grapefruit. As it warms the aroma gets boozier. Flavour: Whoa that’s boozy, along with resiny & citrusy hops, caramel malt and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied. Pretty good but not as good as expected.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Definitely a double IPA living up to the imperial billing, I would say more of an imperial IPA than a double. Real rich, hops are nice, thicker than most double IPAs, if you like them thick and chunky this is for you. Pretty good but not my favorite....probably wouldn’t revisit.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
2013-10-10.Crisp orange amber body with a large foamy beige head and lace. Aroma is hoppy, with a lightly musty resiny character. Flavour is fairly bitter up front but the base also has a good amount of sweetness to it. Muddled citrus notes and resiny hops throughout. Average plus bodied palate, soft carbonation. Enjoyable.
