3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Taster at Standard Market. Certainly a big smack of hop in the nose and on the tongue, even in my little sample. A little estery for a big IPA, which gives it a fruity note playing off the hops. Bitterness seems only lightly piney and more juicy than citrusy. That may be because I was sampling wines before turning to Standard Market’s amazing tap list.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours an orange amber with a full pale yellow head and lots of lacing. Fruity and spicy aroma. Taste is sweet caramel malt, grapefruit juice, strong hop bitterness and a slight breadiness. If it weren’t for the high IBU, I imagine the malty sweetness would be cloying.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a beautiful hazy orange fading to gold - a bubble-strewn sunset with a huge foamy white head. Wet lacing. Aroma is candied caramel and peach - apricot citrus. Taste is a nice balance of caramel malts, grapefruit and piney hoppy bitterness. Actively carbonated, sticky and dry on the palate. Finish is strongly bitter with fairly noticable booze. A pretty high quality IIPA - sweetness toned down and balanced with bitter, but the alcohol is a bit dominant.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
We had the first bottle after a homemade pasta dinner. Unfortunately...not paling blame on tomato or bottle compromise...but it left a cat tongue in its wake. Tonight we had a "remember the alamo" moment. Vengeance happened. Clear as mud, as yankees say...smells like syrupy hops...tastes reminiscent of Bells Two Hearted and that’s NEVER a bad thing.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured from the bottle of a 4 pack ($8.99) looks like a peach with foam in the glass. I was drawn to it by the Winston Smith like label art, and sold by the 9.5%, the fact that it tasted really good was just a bonus. If this one came in a 6 pack, I might be writing this review on my lap top from jail.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a murky orange-golden color with a short white thin layer on top. Sweet malt competes with orange citrus aromas. Full and a bit cottony in the palate. A lot of malt there, but less so than is noted in the nose. Citrus comes through evidently and with a notable harshness.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a three finger off-white head that fades slowly leaving a good lace. Slight hazy amber color. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Light pine hop nose and flavor is piney hops and caramel that is nearly balanced. Light hoppy aftertaste. Best by 8/15/14 but still tastes like a DIPA on 10/6/14. $3.29 for a 12oz bottle from Julio’s Liquors Westborough, Ma.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Poured cloudy, bright orange/copper in color, huge off white head and lots of lacing. Aroma of tropical fruits, hops and caramel. Taste starts sweet, caramel and malts; boozy and a bit hoppy towards the end. Definitely a slow drinker but quite enjoyable.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice head with great lacing. Very nice aromas of apricot and caramel. Wonderful caramel beginning with a great transition to bitterness and slight citrus and pine notes. A really nice DIPA.
