4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750ml thanks to Elise. Bottled November 2013, opened February 2015..I was a little bit worried about how it would hold up. Thankfully, it has done fine. Wow. Sublime. Easy drinking for the ABV, though you know in the warm sweet aftertaste their is some respectable alcohol. Smooth chocolate tones. This is pretty much an optimum Baltic Porter, with the vanilla bourbon tones throwing it over the top. Creamy, smooth on the palate. This really hit the spot. Great beer. Doughy brown chocolate.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is a solid offering from Uinta, one of the better porters I’ve had. Bottled on 10-28-13. Pours black with a nice tan head that starts thick and quickly thins out with decent lacing. Nose is chocolate, roasted malt, bourbon, oak, vanilla, slight smoke. Has a medium body and a very well balanced, complex flavor. Has a lively feel on the tongue, the hops are kind of spicy and the overall feel is dry yet very flavorful, slightly sour but plenty sweet. The oak, bourbon, and vanilla notes are especially nice, with slight licorice, raisin, and earthy tones. Highly recommended.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark chocolate, cola and charred wood in the aroma. Although it appears black, it’s actually a beautiful crystal clear dark brown and mahogany color with a very foamy medium tan head. All of the aromas show up in the flavor with the cola being pronounced which is perfect for a porter. There’s a nice licorice bite and an acrid burnt bitterness that balances out a mild sugary vanilla sweetness. The body is appropriately on the thin side with a bit of creaminess around the edges. The dry bitterness lays down on the tongue and stays there but not in an overwhelming way. The 8% ABV here is almost completely hidden which makes this dangerous. Finishes light and dry with a lasting bitterness and bittersweet/dark chocolate flavor. Excellent Baltic porter.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A very good Baltic porter all around. Pours a thick black with a creamy tan head. Smells of vanilla, cinnamon and chocolate. Taste has lots of vanilla ice cream, with some chocolate coming in later. Some oak in the finish. Delectable. Had in the bottle.

Flaska från SB. Svart brun färg med stor smutsbrun skumkrona. Doft av mörk choklad, vanilj och ekfat. Söt fyllig kropp med lite vinkaraktär. Framträdande smak av choklad och ekfat. Lite rökig avslutning.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Moderate toasted and dark chocolate for he malt, light herbs and earth for the hops and yeast, with hints of wood, charcoal and vanilla. Head is small, frothy turning wispy, khaki with fair lacing and good legs, and is mostly diminishing. Color is very dark brown. Flavor starts faintly sweet and lightly to moderately acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is on the fuller side of medium, slick, with a soft to lively carbonation. A plenty bold but still easy to drink Baltic Porter.

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Poured into a perfect pint.
3.75 A: Black color. Three fingers of frothy light brown head. Retention is pretty good and a few whisps of lacing are left.
5.0 S: This has a world class nose. Powerful, complex, and well integrated. Moderate roastiness, but overall is quite sweet. Tons of tangy molasses with layers of chocolate and caramel. Hints of coffee and fig. I didn’t list a lot of deScriptors, but what I did list runs deep.
4.25 T: The taste is very good, but can’t compare with the nose. Layers of chocolate and caramel, moderate roastiness. Fig and maybe some currant and prune fruitiness. Like the nose, molasses is the focus.
4.5 M: Heavier medium to heavy body. Good moderate carbonation. Creamy with a slippery velvet texture. Super smooth.
4.5 D: Really great brew. Buy it for the taste, love it for the nose. This reminds me a good deal of Marshal Zhukov, which I adore.

earthy mineraly dark chocolate aftertaste with burnt cocos notes.
Nice, drinkable, and full of flavour. Complex. (0.75l bottle from
