Tilted Smile breaks away from the crowd. Big in alcohol, yet approachable and versatile. Confidently balanced with Saaz hops and 100% Pilsen malt. Crisp and delightfully carbonated. Explore pairing with grilled meats and seafood.

Dark golden pour with a light white head. Aroma is grassy, sweet malt, corn. Flavor is citrus, sweet, lemon. Weird citrus. Way to sweet. Ok, but unimpressive.

Bottle from GBBF 2010. Clear mid gold, lasting white head. Some yeast, on a typical lager aroma. Touch of toast even. Slightly perfumed in mouth. Yes, some alcohol strength on swallow. Reminds me a bit of a strong biere de garde from France. It’s fine. A damn sight better than a lot of European strong lagers. Fine. Carbonation is a bit hard.

Was impressed and worried when i say that a brewery in Utah is making imperial strength stuff. Fist off I think that perhaps pilsner is not the right style to pump up the alcohol with. The entire idea is for something light and drinkable. This was a pale and light colored beer with a strong grassy hop aromas. The taste was light with hay and malt along with a decent bitterness. I will say this is a strong beer that you would have no way of knowing is strong if not for the label. But still I think the concept is a miscalculation.

Bottle, 9%. Lagery aroma, a little caramelly. Almost clear shiny golden colour. Very small white head. The flavour is a little rough, quite alcoholic. Clean, though.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear golden with a small white head. The aroma has malt and some sulphur. Solid body, lots of sweet malts yes and some sulphur. Some dry hops. Pretty damm close to a can of European Strong from the supermarket - just cleaner. 140810

A Mes rate. Bottle at the Cad’s.
Clean gold with a decent bright white head. Slight card and baked beans on the nose but not overly offensive. Metallic and corny flavour with rather a lot of alcohol showing. Some fairly harsh bitterness in the finish. Maybe it’s struggling. Maybe it’s just poor.
