3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
750 ml. bottle. Bottled 05/05/10. Pours a thin white head of very short duration, over a gold (SRM 5) body.....nose is light biscuit, toast, bit of light apple/pear.....taste is light malts to start, with light sweetness, tones of apple and pear, finishing with a light spice bitterness....mouth feel is medium and finishes a bit hot, carbonation makes for a fizzy sensation. This is a light Imperial Pilsner, and tends towards being a Belgian Golden Strong rather than a pumped up Pilsner. It is not a bad beer. The brewery just picked the wrong category for it. 3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 mL bottle - pours a crystal clear straw yellow color with smallish white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma has notes of apple, pear, soft malts, touch of apple cider vinegar, faint noble hops. Flavor has soft continental malts, touch of herbal hops, bit of honey and tart apples. Finish is balanced. This is fairly good, although a bit rough on the edges.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours bright gold into a Sam glass. Bright white head with medium retention recedes leaving spotted sheets. Dry with sour, rotting summer fruit with a lasting yeasty finish. Alcohol is well hidden. But in the end, it tastes like a bad chardonnay.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Medium gold, very slight haze, nice white head. Aroma is graham cracker, typical pils malt character, and some floral and spice hops. Alcohol faintly present. The flavor is a match. Nicely done, but the alcohol does end up being a touch too forward, intruding somewhat on the delicate malt profile and the crispness of the hops. But nice overall.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Dark golden pour with a light white head. Aroma is grassy, sweet malt, corn. Flavor is citrus, sweet, lemon. Weird citrus. Way to sweet. Ok, but unimpressive.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from GBBF 2010. Clear mid gold, lasting white head. Some yeast, on a typical lager aroma. Touch of toast even. Slightly perfumed in mouth. Yes, some alcohol strength on swallow. Reminds me a bit of a strong biere de garde from France. It’s fine. A damn sight better than a lot of European strong lagers. Fine. Carbonation is a bit hard.
