8/06/2011: Tilted Smile Imperial Pilsner... Aroma: Smells like acetone (nail polish remover) and anti-freeze. Appearance: Most clean bolden color with a minimal off-white head; no visible carbonation. Flavor: I barely got a taste since it went in and pretty much was spit right back out -- sour fermented apple, rubbing alcohol, nail polish remover, and more industrial solvents! Palate: Medium-light; little to carbonation. Overall: Absolutely HORRIBLE; actually, I spit it out everywhere; digesting and instantaneous drain pour.

1 pint 9.4 fl. oz. bottle (9% Alc by Vol) shared by Tmoney99. Thanks Tom! Rating #218 for this beer.

Aromas of honey, bread, and grass. Clear gold with a fairly lasting, white head. Dry, savory, and with a perceptible strength, flavors are nutty and somewhat floral and grassy. Medium-full bodied with decent carbonation and a somewhat apricot-like, sticky finish.

25.4 ounce bottle. Pours a golden color with a 4+ inch white head collapses slowly. Taste is of malt, spice, hops, pepper, grass, light citrus and some grapefruit. Similar clean aroma. Has a nice creamy body. The finish is warming and a bit bitter and dry. Very easy to drink and quite enjoyable. Far too easy to drink the whole bottle. Good Stuff.

Appearance: thick, dark gold with a soapy, bright white head. Aroma: honey, pepper, grass, hay, creamed corn, pie crust. Taste: chewy, thick malts vie with slightly aggressive black pepper and lemongrass, with a bit of honeysuckle underneath. Finish: ends with lingering, slightly viscous full mouthfeel and a slight alcohol warming. Notes: I don’t get the ’imperial pilsner’ craze. Pilsners are supposed to be light, zippy and refreshing. I’m a huge Uinta fan, but I didn’t care for this. Attempting to make a pilser ’imperial’ just makes a thick, boozy mess.

Very nice strong lager. A bit on the stale side in terms of flavor and very aggressive alcohol decision, but on the whole, this is a good beer. Winchell brought this beer back to Lawrence with him from SLC in 2013.
