Tilted Smile breaks away from the crowd. Big in alcohol, yet approachable and versatile. Confidently balanced with Saaz hops and 100% Pilsen malt. Crisp and delightfully carbonated. Explore pairing with grilled meats and seafood.

Taken from my BA account, reviewed on 2/25/12 Live tasting, 750ML corked and caged into Duvel Tulip... Appearance; pours a slightly hazy golden yellow color, nearly 3 fingers of thick, billowy straw colored head... Retention is ok, after a couple minutes itís fallen to a spotty film. Lacing is good, with thick splotches of head sticking to the glass. Smell; smells like an average macro pilsner to me... Notes of bread and lime sneak in. Taste; bready and slightly sweet, with a crisp finish, notes of lingering honey.. Slight hints of hop bitterness and resin. Iím also getting notes of citrus... Mouthfeel; quite a bit thicker than I anticipated, definitely medium to medium full bodied, slightly sticky but goes down smooth... Carbonation is good, although a little more would definitely help "lighten" the feel of this beer up in my opinion... Overall; a good beer in a style I donít drink all that often, the ABV is well hidden and it goes down smooth... Iíd definitely drink this again, perhaps on a hot day behind the BBQ if I was looking to go a different route than an IPA...

Hazy golden color, with creamy head. The aroma is a bit herbal, honeyish. Good mouthfeel, smooth, round, sweetish, with honeyish and hay flavor, malt; correct bitterness. Pleasant.

Sweet, herbal, fruity aroma. Very sweet flavor -- too sweet. Some herbal, spicy hops.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle. I am not a fan of this style. Huge pilsner malt sweetness. The lager yeast character is noticeable. Not a bad beer.

Pours a golden copper color witha two plus finger fo white fizzy foam. On the nose its a bit sweet with a honeyed grassy profile that mixes with a bit of fruity yeast. On the palate it is more of the same. A touch sticky and the yeasty fruit flavors far outweigh the saaz hops and the bready pilsen malts. Blahhh.

Bottle courtesy of Radek. Deep golden pour with a thick white head. The nose is semi-sweet and a little bit honeyed. Some light sticky malt and a touch of cooling minty honey malt flavour. A little bit of soft herbal malt flavour. Simple brew Ė probably has a bit of age on it, but itís decent enough.

Poured into a pils glass. Bottled on 02/23/12. 4.5 A: Well hazed brown tinted medium orange color. Two fingers of frothy/pillowy off-white head. Retention is very good given the ABV and plenty of lacing is left. 4.0 S: The aroma is as big as the ABV. Grassy and hay with grassy hops. Grainy and biscuity. Potent neutral malt sweetness. Faint lemony fruitiness. Booze is hidden very well. 3.5 T: Grassy hops with hay. Peach and lemon fruits. Again grainy and biscuity. Nice hearty sweetness. A touch of booze. 4.5 M: Heavier medium to almost heavy body. Good moderate carbonation. Not crisp like a normal pils, but rather viscous and velvety. Very nice here. 4.0 D: Everything other than the taste is done really well, so this is getting a better score than it deserves. But, in any case, this is a tasty beer and Iím happy to be drinking it. On tap at CBF. Aromas of lemon, straw and spicy hops. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of straw, earthiness and citrus with a smooth dry lightly bitter citrus finish.

Sawdust itch of a nose with no notion of the ABV hidden within a similarly dusty yellow body and stern off white head. A zipline of the Saaz hops on the initial taste before a really smoothly defined Pilsner landing for the palate. Too much of the flavour crumbles away on the finish, some threads of nutmeg and lemongrass.

A tough ask for a light tasting, big ABV brew that doesnít quite keep itís balance to the finish line. A sterling effort nonetheless Bottle, Krishmaís Tasting, Edinburgh
