Bottle accrued via beerworld in the mixed sixer pack. Lets work backwards with the description.... "where yeast meets west" Ok you trendy little twerps, even with a roll of the bottle there aint enough yeast in this bottle to even approach an "unfiltered" hefe. I say this since the beer was moderate to deep amber and crystal clear thru and thru. Somebody was stretching reality again to meet that romantic vision of the railroad. Back to the drawing board if that was your goal, for this was a feeble attempt at gleaning fame from the largest engineering project made by hand in this country.

Bottle:   Hazy straw, dark, moderate white foamy head, spotty lacing.   Wheaty aroma, but no real bubblegum or
banana.   Strong wheatiness on the tongue, seems to be fairly hefty but fairly simple.   Light sweetness on the
backside.   Strong wheatiness lingers.   As a standard Wheat Ale, this would be great.   But as a German Hefe its
lacking the banana and bubble gum.   Feels fairly hefty tho, which is nice.   Simple, but definitely wheaty but not
quite up to being a German style.

Clove/banana aroma--nice balance between the two. Doughy malt, and maybe some sulfur-ish aroma. Similar yeasty flavor, with some sweet and light dough/bread.
