3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from my home tap with a a bright yellow-orange color and a thick, foamy head, this beer has an aroma of light citrus and woodsy hops combined with a likewise light bready malt character. The flavor is more pronounced, with a bitingly bitter combination of dull grapefruit rind and grass, although there is also a mild malty presence to provide some semblance of balance. The mouthfeel is resinous and substantial, enhancing the bold, bitter flavor. Overall, this is a solid, bright IPA that impresses but doesn’t stand out.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Total Wine, Fairfax 355ml ($2): Pours a golden colour with a white head. Aroma is floral, malty, honeyish, with some sharper hops in there as well. Taste is a little sweet. Good astringent hops from the middle to the end. Mellow mouthfeel. Slightly lingering aftertaste. High alcohol superbly covered. Well-balanced. I was expecting something good with this, but this fortunately exceeded my expectations.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. All around solid IPA. I appreciate the 7.3% abv and the smooth finish. Will definitely drink/buy again.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma has citrus and a little something else, could be a lot stronger. Nicely balanced assertive bitterness and firm bodied malt. Strong enough to call it a 1.5IPA. Long and strong bitter hops linger on the finish. Pack some more aroma hops in there and I’ll call it top notch.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pleasant aggressive hop aroma, fairly predictable flavor and color profile for a flagship IPA. Nevertheless, this is a tasty brew - and in our area at least, a very affordable higher alcohol IPA.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Gold, not much in the way of hop aroma, some citrus and pine with malt presence in the aroma. Medium bodied, full malt and hop palate, bitter with no distinguishable hop varietal. Kind of muted all around. Finish is hoppy and full w/ lasting bitterness. A straight forward IPA with out a lot of complexity. Worth the $8.99 price tag if you need to get you hop fix.
Available at Hops & Vines, Asheville, NC.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle in a shaker. Pours amber with a lacy, cream-colored head. Aroma of citrusy and floral hops, caramel malts, and a little spiciness. Flavor the same, with enough hops to make me feel like it’s an IPA. Smooth texture. A pretty good beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at Café D’Alsace, NYC. June 1. Pours a clear golden-orange with a small diminishing white head. O.K. lacing on the glass. Aroma is quite fruity along with floral hops, pale malt and some sweetness. Flavour of fruity hops, sweet bready malt and a moderate bitter finish -- a bit too sweet for the style. Alcohol is completely hidden. Average to medium bodied. Just O.K., a little simple for the style and not hoppy enough.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle: Pours a clear bright golden brass with a stringy-lacing white head. Has a fresh resiny piney hoppy nose with a touch of sweet, lightly toasted caramel malt. Body starts with pretty good fullness and fine carbonation with a light malty sweetness which quickly reveals the grapefruity hop bitterness and flavor within. Finishes drier, clean and bittersweet. True to style and dangerously drinkable.
