Formerly known as Hop Notch. Wonderful complex flavos, like no other, simply a great tasting IPA. Itís balanced, strong malt backbone, citrusy nose, with hints of pine and grass.

In short: A somewhat thick and doughy-sweet IPA with nice fruity hops. Overall, decent.
How: Bottle 12oz. Consumed relatively fresh a few weeks after purchase. Bottle forwarded to me by mcberko, thanks a lot Matt
The look: Almost clear golden amber body topped by a medium white head with medium retention
In long: Pleasant nose of fruity hops with a fresh apricots and mangos signature. In mouth the beer is a little less fresh juicy fruits and a little more bitter fruity hops (grapefruits and friends). A fair amount of sweetness for a relatively small beer, and here the sweet malts taste like a pastry. Also flavor of cookie dough. A little too sweet for what I like from an IPA of this gravity, this is far from refreshing. Overall the beer was good, but not very good. A bit too heavy for what it is trying to be. I like to find nice little cheap highly drinkable IPAs like this one, because I became an alcoholic because Iím too cheap to be a coke addict.

this is a very amazing beer the aroma is a sweet pinapple citrus with a hint of pine. it is a golden amber with nice white head the diminishes to quick but leaves a nice lacing. the flavor is very hoppy with some piney notes and citrus towrds the end. I know this is a good beer when i burp and it taste and smells just as good as the brew itself. this is a great ipa.

Thin white head of fine bubbles. Lots of fruity hops, pineapple and some mild malts. Color is a dark golden orange. Bit of bitterness up front then it mellows out with a decent malt backbone then the hops coming bounding back in late swallow with some unripe grapefruit juice and spruce. A little bit of soft maltyness along with a bit of roasted grains. Finishes with a lingering dry bitterness. A decent IPA.

Wow. this beer hops and pops well. M: Lighter to medium body with good carbonation, light floral and fresh cut grass lingers O: Good IPA and a very clean, well put together IPA

Pours an orange-copper into the glass, with an initially wispy eggshell head that diminishes to spotty lacing. The nose is of floral and pine notes. Flavors follow the nose, with some orange and light grapefruit citrus mingling with pine resin and pine needles to close the finish. The citrus remains on the palate, and with a substantive mouthfeel, but easy drinkability, this shows promise in the summer months. Not too heavy, but complex enough to be a good brew with a nice quaff.

Relatively clear copper coloured body with an orange glow and a nice, two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of fresh grapefruit, herbal hops, resin and a bunch of nice bittering hop notes. Medium-bodied; Nice pungent hoppy notes with a ton of bitterness, a lot of thick body from the malt and a good citrus note that stays on for quite a while. Aftertaste is quite potent with some alcohol flavours, a lot of malt body and the pungent herbal, grassy and citrus hops. Overall, a nice IPA that is done very well and shows a lot of the good hoppiness, while also having great body and a deep strong flavour. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Tustin, California on 03-February-2012 for US$1.79 sampled at home in Washington on 24-April-2012.

Aroma is of piney and floral hops. Appears amber/golden with nice clarity and lacing. Taste is similar to aroma but more malt finish. Medium mouthfeel. Overall I really liked this brew. Its very smooth and could be considered a session IPA even with the 7.3% ABV

Nice clean pour with a good head. Copper in color with a citrus aroma and flavor make this IPA on the lighter side. Solid taste especially considering over 7% ABV. One of the better IPAs that I can recall.
