Formerly known as Hop Notch. Wonderful complex flavos, like no other, simply a great tasting IPA. Itís balanced, strong malt backbone, citrusy nose, with hints of pine and grass.

Bottle from Best Damn Beer Shop: Poured a dirty golden blonde color with a thin layer of frothy head across the top. In the aroma, my nose detects a bold aroma of citrus trees and leaves with priority towards orange and grapefruit, however, a sweet scent of peace in the background. The flavor is overly bitter with a heavy dosage of oily green hops that give off a strong taste of spice and artificial citrus flavors. For sure a palate and taste bud puckering IPA.

32oz Growler, nice fresh batch from mid-December 2011. Served at around 45F.

Pours lightly cloudy yellow/orange/gold with a nice two finger off-white head that leaves beautiful sticky drippy rings of clumpy lacing and holds a nice cap. Purty!

Aroma starts with real nice citrus, mostly tangerines, some lemon, some pineapple, grapefruit, touch of apricot, along with floral, grassy and pine notes underneath, some light cracker malt as well. Very nice.

Flavor is juicy citrus, tangerines, orange, some grapefruit, pineapple, apricot, a little pine and grass, light bready malt, mild sweetness, and very nice bitterness on the finish.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied, a little creamy, a touch sticky, good carbonation.

Impressive! Iíve been hearing nothing but good things and after missing out on a batch of bottles at the store, I HAD to snag a growler before it disappeared and Iím glad I did. Very juicy IPA, incredibly drinkable and one I will definitely buy again in the future!

The beer pours a clear golden orange with a white head. A really weird aroma. Quite floral with a little bit of grass and pine. Slightly sweet malt aroma, mostly bread. The flavor is moderately sweet without a ton of hop flavor either. Itís mostly grass and line with a touch of floral hops and citrus peel. Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation.

Bottle (Jan 11, 2012 bottling). Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is light amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, cookie), moderately hoppy (resin, grapefruit), lightly yeasty (dough, basement), with a light note of dried mango. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/ texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Very fresh bottle. Some tropical fruit in the nose but the hops are mostly the usual resin-and-grapefruit style loved by Americans. Some sugar cookie helps. Much less abrasive and punishing in the mouth than most, making for a nice mouth experience (I could see some arguing itís too sweet for the style, and I wouldnít argue, but itís not syrupy or fatiguing at all and just gives a sense of richness). Overall decent.

bottle. clear orange under a medium sized, whipped, white head. nose of pineapple and citrusy tropical fruits. the palate is light to medium for a large abv, with a juicy texture and lightly creamy. a well balanced ipa with flavors of biscuity bread, fresh earthy hops, purple grapes. a really smooth and balanced ipa. easy to drink. everything iíve tried from uinta has been impressive the last couple years.

Copper tone with lacy white head and a healthy amount of carbonation. Lively bouquet of PNW forested hops. Pine and citrus, forest wood, and a squirt of pineapple. A bitter-accented IPA with a clean PNW hop flavor profile of floral and pine notes that also veers toward grapefruit with pineapple influences that has me thinking of a Hawaiian IPA.

This poured a lighter amber color with a beige head. Aroma was a nice bit of citrusy hops, from tropical notes mainly, and light pale and caramel malt. Flavor was medium to strongly bitter, some fruitiness and light toasted notes. Pretty Decent.
