Formerly known as Hop Notch. Wonderful complex flavos, like no other, simply a great tasting IPA. It’s balanced, strong malt backbone, citrusy nose, with hints of pine and grass.

What a great beer from the get-go! Appearance is a huge cream-colored, long lasting head with lots of lace, and a clear, honey amber color. Aroma is equal parts grapefruit and resin with caramel malt and hints of cereal. Flavor’s just spot on balanced with perfect amounts of malt sweet, hop bitter, carbonic tang. Body is dialed in too. I want more!!

Bottle. Moderate roasted and caramel for the malt, moderate orange for the hops, light soap for the yeast, with date in the background. Head is small, fizzy, off-white with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is hazy, medium orange amber. Flavor starts lightly to moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Palate is on the fuller side of medium, oily, with a lively carbonation. Nice hop profile in the aroma, nice smooth sweetness in the flavor, a nicely made IPA.

Light aroma, light hoppiness, smooth on the palate. This is not a string IPA, but it is one to remember when combining it with food. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours into the glass harvest moon orange with a nice mushy one finger cap. Liked what I smelt when I popped off the top bottle: crushed hops & streams of citrus. The hopes of a hop bomb quickly fade as I start drinking. It’s a tasty IPA, a pretty even mix between the hops & malts, modest bitterness, vague hints of earthy pine, maybe a little citrus, soft carbonation. It’s pretty yum. But for the love of god, this doesn’t rate the scores I see below mine (e.g. Many above 4.0, a perfect 5.0!). Makes those who live outside of the USA suspect that perhaps our neighbours to the south over rate their homegrown a tad. Would drink again.

Bottle. Aroma of tropical fruit, resin, and pine. Slight vegetable notes too. Taste of resin and peach, fairly bitter. Good body.

A clean, yet mildly hazed sunny apricot body supports a tall, resilient, off-white cool-whip head creating several dense horizontal lines of lace with intricate extensions filling the gaps above a thick ring and solid cap

Inviting, mildly rich aromas and flavors of grapefruit, mango, lemon rind, lime, and soft grass with minty accents and sweet biscuit malt on a silky, cohesive, creamy medium weight body with a lightly spicy herbal-citrusy, bitter-sweet finish and residual working towards creamy fruit juice, guava, very nicely balanced with vivid hop characteristics

12oz bottle about a week after Kansas roll-out served at 45º into Stölzle IPA Glass

This does not reach the level of hop-noxious as some of my hop-licious favorites, but strikes a very reasonable balance that will satisfy both the regular beer lovers and the hop heads, like me. I love this beer. The malt flavor is outstanding and high nuff octane for high Gravity enthusiasts! Thank God Utah has seen the light.
