Formerly known as Hop Notch. Wonderful complex flavos, like no other, simply a great tasting IPA. It’s balanced, strong malt backbone, citrusy nose, with hints of pine and grass.

Typical light coppery IPA pour with virtually no head and light white lacing. Nose is bitter hops and fruit, but not overly strong. Flavor brings the hops on fairly strong with a decent balancing malt and a touch of candy. Finish is fairly quick and mostly bitter. Solid IPA, but nothing you’ll remember a year from now.

Sampled a bottle poured into a tulip glass, this ale had a medium orange pour with some red hues and gave a white one finger cover of bubbles, it left nice spots and small fingers of lacing on the glass, the nose had aromas of orange and grapefruit citrus hops, toasted malt and bread, fruit and malt sweetness, the flavors were pine and fruit citrus hops, toasted malt and a little bread, some malt sweetness, the finish had a medium hop bitterness that lingered on the tongue, malt and fruit followed, the mouth feel was about medium, maybe a touch less, it was creamy and had soft to average carbonation, the nose was fruity with orange and grapefruit hops, the flavor was pretty much the same, the hops were fruity with nice toasted malt, a decent IPA drink, I would recommend.

Bottle from Beer Cartel 080416. Well brewed with a good combination of hoppiness and maltiness. Vibrant looking in the glass and resinous in the mouth.

355 ml. split by 4 @ “Sir Goatie McGoat S&G Tasting”. Thank you Mathieu87 and/or PriorL! BBF tomorrow when consumed. Dark hazy orange, little white head. Nose is orange, plaster, oily, yeast is a bit too upfront. Taste is sweetish plaster, oily pine, orange, light pine, floral, some bread. Body is a bit yeasty, oily. Okay, bit too yeasty but it is also not super fresh so there is that.

Pours with a very healthy, large creamy head on top of an orange color. I’m drinking from a bottle that says best by December of 2015S? Whatever the S means, so I know I’m not experiencing the fullness of this beer. Very nice floral, pine, & candy fruit aromas and a nice smooth jolt of bitterness with the fruit juice like flavors in the background. Very smooth & creamy body with good bitterness, just wish this was fresher. An A beer even past it’s prime.

A nice, refreshing classic IPA. Juicy and hoppy and a little dry but just enough. I like.
