COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly known as Hop Notch. Wonderful complex flavos, like no other, simply a great tasting IPA. It’s balanced, strong malt backbone, citrusy nose, with hints of pine and grass.

Aromatic and restrained for an IPA. Not the regular brassy hop flavor. An ipa a little more friendly for the masses, but sure to please the devout followers. High points include the round palate, the floral aroma, and the nicely balanced malt. ---This rating is likely a compilation of my and my roommates' musings over our latest beer pick up. Creamy smooth fluffy head, skunky aroma, medium-dark golden hue. Not a big IPA drinker but I dig this one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Deep amber/copper. Nose of dank citrus and mild pine with thick caramel malt. Flavor is well balanced with caramel lemon and orange that trails out to solid piney citrus. Nice all around.

Draft pour dark gold with orange hue and moderate white head. Nose good pine, resin, floral hop. Taste moderate bitter up front, then floral and papaya. Later palate light dank hop. Lighter bitter finish. Nice nose and reasonable flavor.

Can. Pours golden orange with a rocky white head. Spicy and grassy hops, with lighter fruity notes, mild toffee malts, and a spicy hoppy and lightly bitter finish. Pretty good.

12oz can. 4/24/15 code date. Appearance: deep golden and clear, with a frothy, white foam cap. Aroma: Possibly subdued by age, but get some musty citrus and grassy notes. A bit of melon and pineapple. Nice, but a little weaker than if fresh. Taste: Sweet caramel malt up front, giving way to grassy and melon hop notes. Bitterness is soft, but hits on the swallow. Mouthfeel: Medium with light/medium carbonation. Finish: Finishes dry with sticky resin on the tongue and lingering bitterness. Overall: Really like the malt character of this one, with an almost candy like sweetness to balance the bitterness. Balances well and is very drinkable for a 7.3% American IPA.

I like IPAs and this is a good one. This is good from the palate standpoint and has a kick ass taste.

Bottle from the brewery. Pours clear bright amber with a fizzy bubbly white head. Smells like sweet grapefruit, caramel, citrus hops, light booze, and a nutty malt. Tastes like grapefruit, caramel, light resin, citrus hops, and toasted malt. Light/medium body and low carbonation.

Drank from a sampler glass at the Electric City Craft Brew Fest. Strong aromas of hops, strong taste of hops, not much else. Your normal everyday IPA.
