4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Pours a lighter amber color with a moderate white head. Really intense bitter hoppy aroma to this beer that is awesome for an IPA lover like myself. Decent level of that same bitterness to the brew, but itís balanced well to not be overwhelming. Very interesting...

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle from Scott. Aroma of ripe grapefruit, as well as some in the taste, but this one falls flat on the palate. Bitter waves, which leave me unimpressed. Good idea, but unexecuted. Okay beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Knotty, piney, resinous aroma indicates a strong, bitter IPA. Glowing hazy orange does not contradict that prediction. Flatly bitter with a good malt contrast that tries very hard to balance the beer out. A solid IPA headin towards the heavy extreme.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
August 23, 2012 - 12oz bottle shared by sledutah. I go from zero Utah ratings to three in the space of 20 minutes - awesome! Slightly hazy amber-tinged gold with a smallish frothy/foamy off-white head. Floral/resin aroma, catty, only a little sweetness to the backing malt. Taste follows, more citrus, quite pungently catty, not all that floral, the malt really just frames the bitterness, but itís balanced. Average body, mild carbonation, lightly astringent, finishes surprisingly quickly - slightly dry linger. Would love to try this on tap.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a cloudy golden with a moderate frothy white top. Aroma is earthy and pine hops with a great malt profile. Taste is a great warming pine and citrus hop flavouring with grassy notes and sweet malts. Great balance.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a cloudy, dark golden orange color with tangerine edges and a one finger white foam head that quickly settles into a lasting ring. Spotty lacing left behind.
Resinous hop aroma with a nice balance of earthy and sweet fruit notes countered by a caramel malt backbone. Floral with hints of grass and pine countered by grapefruit, pineapple and orange peel. Malt presence is strong with caramel, toffee and biscuit.
Medium bodied with a complex hop profile thatís slightly hindered by a prominent malt backbone. Nice balance of earthy and sweet notes with dry, piny bitterness giving way to tropical and citrus fruit flavor. Hints of grass, soil and pine needle countered by pineapple, grapefruit and orange peel. Underneath, there is a strong malt backbone with hints of caramel, toffee and biscuit. The hop profile is pretty nice but the strong malt presence overpowers it a bit too much for my liking.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from bottle, darker orange, slightly hazy. Small head. Aroma of grass, hops, citrus. Taste had no sweetness, but a combination of hop bitterness and malts. Too bitter for my taste, but not bad, although it doesnít stand out among IPAs Iíve had.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pint on tap at A.J.ís in Chicago. Bright orange appearance and lively carbonation. The smell is hopped-grapefruit and the taste is pure grass. Fresh. Medium bodied. A little too bitter for my tastes. Itís a bold IPA thatís well worth the low price, although Iíd have trouble drinking more than one.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. bottle poured to a Czech-pils glass at Lunar Brewing Co., displaying a hazed, orangy gold color, an off white, bubbles & cream head, and tight waves of clingy lacing. The aroma started with some dank grain, grassiness, resin, and sharp citrus as white grapefruit. The flavor presented no noticeable sweetness, but a decent amount of malt to temper the substantial, very lingering, very dry, rind-like hop bitterness. Only medium bodied, but good carbonation propelled the flavor notes successfully. Reminded me a bit of similar intensity and characteristics of FFF Dombie Dust.
