3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from the bottle into a trumpet glass to drink. The beer had a semi-cloudy amber color with an average sized foamy white head with good cling and lacing. The aroma featured citrus hops, with touches of pine and straw, and a very light malt presence. Its taste had a bitter citrus flavor with a grainy component, and a slight sourness as well. It was a very dry beer with average carbonation to go with a full body and mouthfeel.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Amazingly outstanding IPA! Hop Notch pours a very dark golden color with a beautiful off-white, cascading head. The nose is very inviting, with notes of spicy and floral hops, pine, grass, sweet malts and a touch of lemon. The flavors are very well-balanced and delicious, and the body is smooth, creamy and extremely drinkable. This is one of those IPAís that I could sit hang with all night. Notes from the flavor include dry hops, grass, lightly toasted bread, grapefruit, lemon, pine and a touch of sweet malt. The finish is dry and spicy.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pretty good IPA, but tamed on the hops compared to their CDA (or Black IPA). Light yellow/golden in color. Some kind of interesting hint of nuts and hemp. Overall a pretty good IPA.

12oz into a tulip. This is wonderful. Taste is piney, citrus, light grapefruit, and has some oragne splashes in there as well. Color is a deep ruby orange, looks nice. Such a smooth drinker, the hops seem to usher this one efforteslly down the pallate with ease. Head it bubbly and hovers as the brew settles. There is a bitterness in the aftertaste that is subtle yet defining of this quality brew, brings one back for more. More hops, more citrus, more pleasure. I had the pleasure of doing a tasting tour of Uintas brews at the ACBF in boston this past June. One of my highlights of the fest. Great stuff here.
