COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly known as Hop Notch. Wonderful complex flavos, like no other, simply a great tasting IPA. Its balanced, strong malt backbone, citrusy nose, with hints of pine and grass.

Clear, light copper pour. Finger of off white foamy head. Nose is pine cones and grapefruit. Bitter. Middle is bread, caramel, and light wood. Finish goes out bitter and lingering. Good.

UPDATED: JAN 15, 2014 Complex taste with beautiful, dry finish. I taste the pine, the citrus, and the hops add but do not overwhelm. Nice.

On draught. Deep copper pour with a thick frothy head. Wonderful aroma of grapefruit and pine with hints of vanilla. Medium body, sticky, with a great sharp hoppy finish.

Clear orange pour with a nice white head and great lacing. Aromais really nice sweet citrusy hops, a little toffee, and pine. Taste is pine up front with slight sweetness and then grapefruit in the finish. Nice bitterness. Medium light body. Good beer.

Pours cloudy orange amber with a bumpy foamy yellow-white head. Soapy lacing. Aroma is sweet floral pine hop resin and citrus. Very appetizing. Taste is very hop forward with caramel malt, floral pine and orange citrus sweetness giving way - after an unusual delay - to a dry, grassy hop bitterness that lingers to the aftertaste. Starts off very creamy on the palate. Not the most balanced beer, but very enjoyable flavors and very drinkable. A pleasant surprise! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is one of my favorite IPA's. Very aromatic and clean while totally drinkable and refreshing. He hop profile doesn't kick your palate in to badly for being as bold as it is.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a thin off white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma has lots of fresh, piney, grapefruit hops. The taste has grapefruit, slight mango and a little bit of pine. Grapefruit is the dominating flavor here. The end palate leaves a lingering bitterness backed up by the caramel malts. Creamy feeling body with moderate carbonation.

@ Jungle Jims / Eastgate - Clear dark copper amber with a snow-white head that drops to a head cover, curtain of lace. Taste is caramel malt that fights its way to the finish before finally being overtaken by pursuing pine hops. Both bitter and sweet linger deep through the finish. The delay makes it interesting, as well as recommendable.

Can from the Lazy Dog Pours s lightly hazy dark golden color that borders on amber with a huge fluffy whit head that persists for quite a while. Aromas of citrus and pine with some faint green onions and a solid hit of bready caramel malt to back it up. The flavor is actually quite malt forward with lots of sweet bread and rich caramel and toffee notes. Pine, resin, and a bit of green onion flavor provides a bit of balance. Firm hop bitterness. Medium body with a light to moderate level of carbonation and a sweet almost syrupy and resinous mouthfeel. My can shows a best before 1/25/14 Im not sure when that means it was bottled, but I found this a bit malty for an IPA. Decent enough and drinkable, but Id grab something else before this again.
