Wonderful complex flavos, like no other, simply a great tasting IPA. It’s balanced, strong malt backbone, citrusy nose, with hints of pine and grass.

12oz bottle poured into a large Duvel tulip glass. Pours a clear golden color with about a one finger head after a semi aggressive pour. It must be my sinuses acting up but I the aroma is very muted on this beer. I get more of the malt instead of the usual hop aroma. The taste though is more balanced. The malt comes through at the beginning but the the floral, resiny pine comes through at the end and lingers in the aftertaste. There’s no alcohol burn on this beer even though it clocks in at over 7% abv. I could see myself throwing back several of these on a warm summer day.

Appearance: clear golden color, medium sudsy white head. Aroma: big malty aroma with some hints of grapefruit/citrusy hops. Taste: bready maltiness up front, spicy bitter and citrusy middle, finishing with a kind of caramely malt, hop bitterness; interesting. Mouthfeel: thinnish but creamy body. Overall: solid IPA but not screaming anything to me. Like but don’t love.

Strong citrus hop aroma, golden bodied with a lemony zing to the flavor. Packaging is top notch, custom bottle and appealing label, however, the IPA was focused squarely on hop aroma. I would have liked a deeper overall bitterness and more malt backbone.

The nose is malty with some floral hoppiness. The taste started with a mild maltiness next comes moderate floral and citrus hops. Finishes clean and dry. Nicely balanced beer. Fruity and refreshing.

Draft at a Taco Mac. At first blush, this is another cookie-cutter, orange-amber beer. This does drink with a nice creamy appeal, however, and is super pleasant to drink. But it lacks any real hoppy kick I was expecting, just a floral flourish at the end instead. (#4512, 2/27/2012)

On tap; poured an orange color with a whitish head. Aroma of orange, citrus, caramel, and bread. Flavor of citrus, orange, earth, bread, and some yeast and pine. Crisp flavor, but not great.

1 march 2012, bottle. yellow, clear, steady bubbles, foamy head. big oily, resiny hops on the nose and nothing else. thin/med body and a bit fizzy. dried resiny hop flavor. really not much to this. resiny hops and a bit of malt balance to differentiate it from a west coast ipa. okay.

Golden color with a white head. Aroma contains some pine, oranges, and lemons. Flavor is quite bitter with a strong citrus flavor. Some malt presence but this certainly one for the hop heads and I am one. Aftertaste is also bitter.
