COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly known as Hop Notch. Wonderful complex flavos, like no other, simply a great tasting IPA. It’s balanced, strong malt backbone, citrusy nose, with hints of pine and grass.

SUprisingly solid ipa. Rich and citrusy, slight pine, medium bitterness, way better than I expected.

A shared 12oz bottle. Best by 4/18/13. Clear orange - yellow color. Real thin off-white head, decent lace. Nice resiny, pine nose. Nice lighter carbonation - very dry texture. Caramel malts, but a good big bitter hoppiness too. Interesting malt profile. A sweet hoppy finish, too, with a good resiny aroma in the aftertaste. This is interesting... Malt-forward, a little sweet, but still has a very good interesting resiny hop profile. One I need to revisit, I think.

Poured a very lightly hazy golden amber. There was a 2 finger creamy light beige head that left a decent amount of lacing as it reduced. The aroma was a sweet apricot and tangerine with hints of pine. The beer had a nice thicker body and a good hops citrus rind bitterness and some pine resin right off the bat. There is some roasted caramel malt sweetness that comes through towards the middle. The hops bitterness continues on and hits the roof of the mouth and lingers on the back of the throat during a long flavorful finish. Very good and flavorful IPA!

After reading "Cheap’s" rating on this beer, I knew I had to try it. And it was everything he said he was going to taste like. Hoppy, complex, balanced brew. Can taste the pine and grass hops...nice!!!

Bottle. Pours a nice deep orange with a medium white head that dissipated quickly, nice lacing though. Nose is slightly malty, but then pineapple and resinous hops. Medium bodied and surprisingly fresh tasting for a bottle of IPA that is probably 2 months past its prime (bottled in August of 2012), with some grapefruity notes mingled with the malts and some tropical fruit, then a lingering bitter finish. Nice IPA.

Hard to believe this 7.3% abv. It doesn’t taste like it. Great IPA. Certainly pushing to Imperial but it doesn’t there. Good balance. Hops are citrusy crisp but weighty which this needs to cover that ABV. Does it so well though. NIce light honey sweetness. Label is not my favorite.

Bottle shared at a tasting at LiBira Pub in Haifa. Hazy orange. Aroma of slightly stale hops, a bit piney. Flavor has slightly stale hops bitterness with a bit of piney and citric hints. Medium-bodied. Seems a bit too old.

At a tasting, thanks DSG, smallish head, hazy orange colour, aroma of herbs, tobacco and bread, flavour of citrus and almonds, strong and a bit coarse grapefruit bitterness. Nice but a bit over the hill.
