Formerly known as Hop Notch. Wonderful complex flavos, like no other, simply a great tasting IPA. It’s balanced, strong malt backbone, citrusy nose, with hints of pine and grass.

12oz bottle. Slightly hazy orange-brown-tan. Clean, refreshing IPA. Bold lemony citrus hop tones, with a clean, steady malt backbone. Approaching resinous and oily too, in a detracting way. Overall pretty enjoyable, quality offering, minty crisp. Flavorful, but has a burnt oily hop tone that I don’t enjoy.

12 oz. bottle. Poured clear orange with scant head. Flavor grassy with orange, peach, and grapefruit notes. Also some grapes present at the finish. Solid IPA.

$4 draft special at the Deuce in Wrigleyville.Light, clear amber color with a tight, half-finger white head. Heavy hop smell, with lots of earthiness and more plain old bitterness. Taste is big with fresh hop flavor, yet the malt is bright, leading to very little aftertaste. More pine comes in further down the glass, giving this a nice, complex profile.

Brilliant amber color with lasting ivory sheen. Nice dank, spicy, earthy, floral hop aromas. medium body with average co2. Spicy, grassy, floral hop flavors with a solid pale malt base--nicely bitter finish--good

It pours a golden yellow and gives the same color body with a one inch white foamy head in my pint glass. The smell is hop forward with some nice lingering malts that come through as the beer warms. The taste is basically the same. The mouthfeel is about a medium and smooth, slightly creamy. Overall, this is a great American IPA, get it if you see it.

Clear orange-amber pour with a medium thin frothy off-white head that diminishes steadily. Short strings of lacing. Aroma oh hops, malt and pine. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, caramel malt and fruit, The finish is moderately bitter with a lingering piney hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

12oz bottle-----> snifter. Pours a dark orangish straw with a small soapy white head. Smells of sharp citrus and mild biscuit. Floral, bitter hops dominate the front and back with some bready malt tossed into the middle. Medium palate with sufficient carbonation. Nice drinking everyday IPA.

12 oz. bottle poured into a cervoise glass. Pours golden amber with orange hues; two finger bright white fluffy head. Above average retention and quite a bit of splotchy lacing. Citrus blossoms, grapefruit, and a hint of pine on the nose. Grapefruit rind bitterness right off the bat, met by some lightly sweet caramel malt and pineapple. Finishes crisp and dry with the return of bitter citrus rind. Lighter side of medium bodied, well carbonated, smooth and silky mouthfeel. Solid and enjoyable IPA.
