UPDATED: JUN 24, 2014 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark orange color with a small creamy orange-white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was strong sweet and tangy pine and grapefruit. The flavor was tangy and sweet pine, resin, sour caramel, orange and more resin. The finish was long and tangy pine and resin. Moderately full bodied. Solid.

Bottle. Clear yellow with great soapy head and lace. The aroma is a fresh hop blast of cat funk, grapefruit, pineapple, and pine. Flavor is soft biscuits, moderately sweet, candied orange, grapefruit, and a strongly alpha acid bitter finish that lingers. This must be very fresh. Itís full, soft, and fairly light on the palate other than the hop effects. A hop fix...nearly over so but hey...thatís what I love.

Bottled. Pours a cloudy gold. Mellow, but slightly spicy hop aroma, with hints of citrus. Flavor is very balanced up front, citrus, light fruit and sweet, bready malt mingling together, followed by a dry burst of pine. Bitter, alcoholic kick of a finish that lingers for a good while. Oily mouthfeel, light to medium bodied. Overall, a quite nice IPA, but a little rough around the edges.

Golden-yellow body, decent sized white head, streaky lacing. Nose is a mixture of pine and citric fruits. Fairly balanced, but certainly not bland or boring. Citric notes take over in the flavor profile with pine hanging in there as well. Light malt presence. Medium bodied, assertive carbonation, mellow bitterness.

Sampled at SBWF12 Golden. White head. Sweet and hoppy, perfume-ish aroma. Sweet and oily. Grassy hoppiness and sweet toffee.

Pours clear orange with a soapy head that hangs out for a bit. There is some nice sticky lacing left behind. The aroma is exceptional. Fruity hops and pine dominate the nose. The taste is light and fruity with a bit of a hop bite on the finish. Itís a bit thin on the palate with a medium body and not much malt backbone to speak of.

frpilz (111) - Illinois, USA - SEP 27, 2012
Poured a very full thick tapioca looking head. Light copper color, brilliant clear opacity. Strong aroma of hay, clover, citrus, pine. Very full hop entry, malt seems to be in the background, but not balanced and there is the alcholol warmth at the end. Very very hoppy for this medium thin clean beer. Mouthfeel is medium-light, finish is not as long as I like, the citrus is overdone where it tastes like lemon zest and grapefruit pith. Still tasty, but the bittering hops here lack complexity, and levels of flavor that I like in this style of beer. Needs more malt, and more roasted character.

MartinT (7974) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 24, 2012
My Bottom Line :
This nearly crisp IPA sets forth grapefruit and flower aromas in a smooth body meant for easy drinking.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-A creamy head of foam sits atop the misty amber shine.
-This might not be the most explosive IPA, but everything it does it does very well.
-Carbonation feels natural, which I like.
-Grassy hop resins conclude each sip in a tasteful fashion.

Bottle.

UPDATED: NOV 6, 2013 1) Bottle from..California. Brassy copper honeycombed with white. Florid, tinned peach and mandarin aroma with enough hop freshness to keep it the right side of cloying. Iím not a fan of US IPAs that taste like London Pride but this pulls it off with aplomb.. and added soapy hop, digestive biscuit malt, husk, tangerine and peach. A bit throatsweet-y but I like it. 2) Tap, PBR Rockbar and Grill, Las Vegas, 29/10/13. Peach iced tea, caramel-dripped nose. Burnt orange amber with a thin head and messy lace. Sweetly floral with a bright uncomplicated honey and peach thing, maybe pecan. 636713.
