Formerly known as Hop Notch. Wonderful complex flavos, like no other, simply a great tasting IPA. Itís balanced, strong malt backbone, citrusy nose, with hints of pine and grass.

Can. Pours a dark amber wit a high, creamy, large-grained off-white head. Nose is a nice balance of floral and citrus, with orange and hollyhock predominant. Bitter on the front of the tongue, but with an oddly hollow mid-palate. I just donít get much beyond the initial burst of hops. Finish is light and a bit flaccid. Enh.

Orange-golden pour with a white head. The aroma has some pine and floral notes as well as a good bit of biscuit malt. The flavor is a mix of orange citrus with some pine and biscuit malt. Low bitterness with a good bit of sweet malt notes. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Pours orange/amber. Head disappears rather quickly but good lacing. Smells of pine and mango. Taste grassy, earthy and spruce. Medium body, nice malt sweetness though a tad of resin. Long, lingering herbal, slightly metallic finish. Case expires in one month, this bottle still says Hop Notch. I might have rated it higher had it been fresher.

Brilliant orange/amber colored pour. Plenty of carbonation. Big white head that slowly falls. Plenty of lacing left behind. Big citrusy hop aroma. Some malt and yeast character. Taste is malt with a bit of earth and lemony hops.

Great hop aroma. Taste is overwhelmingly hoppy with a sweet malt background. Hops used seem like a fresh hop or otherwise wet hop that soured in a bad way. Hops, which are the feature of this beer, come across as swampy. Iíve had better homebrews.

Money IPA, one of the best I have had. Big hop flavor with a malty background. Dark color for such a bright beer, easy drinking palate without being thin, on the edge of being Imperial, canít wait to try their double!

Very nice IPA in a bottle in Southport, NC Lowes. A little darker, plenty of aromatic hops and nice creamy head and lacing.

Can to snifter. pours a fairly clear reddish orange color. large off white head that stays. Typical C hop aroma with a very crackery, honey graham-like malt coming through with a ton of breadiness. Initially a pungent hop flavor that fades quickly to a pithy bitterness. A crackery malt flavor, but not as complex as the nose would indicate, but definitely on the sweet side that I donít care for in my IPAs these days. Hops seem just grassy in the finish.

Sweet citrus hop aroma with a light amount of resin. Hazy orange color with a large white head. Moderate bitter beginning that fades in the finish.

Poured from Hop Notch can into tulip. Pours a orange amber with a short lasting white head. Co2 on the softer side. Aroma of grapefruit and grass. Taste is citrus, malt, and pine. The malt comes through a little more than the citrus. Lace on glass after head receded to glass edge. Finish was a bitter citrus. Mouth feel was thin but slick. Enjoyable.
