Formerly known as Hop Notch. Wonderful complex flavos, like no other, simply a great tasting IPA. Itís balanced, strong malt backbone, citrusy nose, with hints of pine and grass.

Bottle. Pours clear copper with a medium, frothy white head, medium retention with great lacing. Aroma is apricot, mango, and pineapple fruity esters, citrus and pine hops with honey and biscuit malt. Flavor is medium hops and bitterness, supporting light malt, tropical fruity esters and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Thanks MaxwellDeus for my first Utah beer! Quite citrusy in the nose; a touch of pine and some passionfruit/mango in there as well; caramel/cereal lightly backs up the hop profile. Appearance is mostly transparent copper with sticky, frothy white head. Nice, complex hop flavors up front, a bit more of the pine shines through, but fruity and delightful overall; the malts leave a slightly sweet impression underneath, but the hops are expressive enough in their own right. The finish is fairly bitter and abrupt. Palate is medium, sticky and soft. Really a very good IPA, stands comparably to West Sixth IPA made here in KY.

Nice IPA. Piney hops character in the aroma and flavor. Iím more a fan of citrus hops, but this one isnít in-your-face with the piney hops, so I really enjoyed it.

Bottled. Poured clear, lighter orange with a creamy, well-retained white head. The aroma picked up juicy orange, apricot, and other fruity hops over sweet caramel and lesser biscuity notes.. a little aspartame right on the back of the nose.. solid. The flavor found sweet caramel and a bit of bready malts at the core, with quasi-juicy pine and orangey bitterness around.. finished bitter and engaging, with citrus and pine leading. Light-medium bodied with a good feel through the palate.. moderate carbonation.. good stuff!

Aromatic and restrained for an IPA. Not the regular brassy hop flavor. An ipa a little more friendly for the masses, but sure to please the devout followers. High points include the round palate, the floral aroma, and the nicely balanced malt. ---This rating is likely a compilation of my and my roommates' musings over our latest beer pick up. Pours a crystal clear golden yellow, nice full white head. Nice hopy, citrus, pine nose. Bitter dry hop attack and a good finish. Yumm.

Got in a trade, but forget from who. THANKS! Pours a nice dark gold/orange/light copper hue with a small white head. Honestly, this thing smells fantastic. Great floral, pine, grapefruit, mango, pineapple coming off the nose. Such an unassuming bottle. A nice hop bitterness, with grapefruit up front and on the way down, with a definite lingering pine on the palate. Hop bite all the way through. Carbonation is lower than I expected. Really easy drinking, and could be mistaken for a session IPA. An unexpected surprise. Will have to seek out more from Uinta.

From bottle. Very nice nose - spicy-floral hops, oily and resinous. Mild caramel and malt sweetness. Orange peels. Deep orange-amber clear with creamy off-white, huge lacing head. Medium body with medium-light carbonation. Starts fairly dry. Big hop flavor from start to finish. Bursts of resin, orange peel, and apricot. Light nutty caramel malt notes. Big bitter finish with lasting bitter after.

Some good citrus aroma. pours amber. Taste of a malty caramel sweetness, then fades to the bitterness of the hop notes. Finishes smooth with a slight creamy mouth feel and a bitter bite on the very end. A solid IPA.
