Formerly known as Hop Notch. Wonderful complex flavos, like no other, simply a great tasting IPA. Itís balanced, strong malt backbone, citrusy nose, with hints of pine and grass.

12 oz bottle, Whole Foods Columbus. Copper-amber pour, lovely thick pillowy white head dissipates into a medium ring and retains gobs of lacing down the glass. Aroma exhibits lots of pine and citrus, bready. Flavor grassy, caramel, sharply bitter. Mouthfeel is medium, creamy, almost silky; nice. I donít think the malt -quite- stands up to the hops here and so I think this is a nice beer but I donít find the balance to be quite right. Tasty, though.

Caramel, doughy and slightly sticky up front. Blends and fades to grapefruit, tangerine and pine as it becomes less sticky. Almost clean finish with a slight return from the caramel. Great winter warmer on this cold winters day. Good with spicy chili, I suspect it would compliment lamb or beef stew.

Cloudy orange color pour with booming milk-white head. Lovely aroma of citrus, hop, malt, pine, spices, yeast. Warmth from the alcohol but itís nearly undetectable. Nice. Hop and citrus balance, pine accent.

A great everyday IPA. Pours gold with a nice white head. Floral, grass, and pine on the nose. Sticky resin sweetness and grapefruit on the tongue, with a dry bubbly finish. Very fine.

Can - very slightly hazy light amber colour with slim white head. Citrus hoppy, piney aroma. Taste has similar elements, some nice sweetness, nicely dry, long bitter finish. Medium bodied, fair bit of carbonation, my sort of IPA, very good.

Rated based on notes taken 30 Dec 2014 -- On tap. This was a sticky, resinous, cloudy IPA. And I really enjoyed it.

Clear gold pour with a finger of foam and good job with the lacing. Grass, pine, a bit of grapefruit in the nose. Pine, grass, light citrus, light malt thatís mostly some bread. Not at all balanced but Iím digging the bitterness this brings. Medium body, medium carbonation. A very good IPA fresh, for sure. Mine are best before April 2, 2015.
