3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 CPDalton (67) - Boone, North Carolina, USA - JUL 23, 2012Bottle. Deep orange, looks like a thick IPA. Pinky finger of white head, lacing will occur. Nose is very fresh with a strong presence of esters, for some reason I think of a sugary apple. Taste is fruity and slightly malty up front; this is accompanied by a lasting, yet somewhat mellowed, bitterness. Mouthfeel is slightly thick like I predicted; sweet with very little carbonation. Good brew, would like to see a better malt backbone though.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ccex (795) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 15, 2013
12 oz bottle pours a clear orange with two-finger white head and good lacing. The smell hit me a foot away before the first sip. Aroma is full of caramel malts, citrus hops (especially grapefruit), and some good dank earthiness. Taste is bitter at the start and finish, with lots of sweetness in the middle. Body is medium with below average carbonation. Mouthfeel is slightly sticky and alcohol is mostly hidden. A well balanced IPA I’ll be sure to try again.

Tap at Pizza Port. Not sure why my wife got this instead of the house beers. Pours a hazy golden with fairly big white head. Aroma is earthy with a bit of sweet corn. Taste is slightly dank and then has loads if fresh soil. Some more sweetness but then it falls off. The mouth feel is very thin and leaves a lot to be desired.

Hop Notch IPA from Uinta Brewing Company from Salt Lake City Utah. Not available in Louisiana. 7.3% ABV
Aroma nice and citrusy with moderate floral notes
Appearance a nice hazy golden color with foamy white 2 finger head and nice lacing
Taste defiantly citrus and spice flavors from the hops. Mild sweet malt at the beginning that quickly give way to the hop and bitter end The 7.3% ABV is well hidden
Mouthfeel. Medium with a mild lingering mid tongue bitterness
Overall a good IPA. A style if beer that I am becoming more palatable for. Easily able to appreciate the style

Bright hop aroma, gorgeous head that leaves perfectly symmetrical rings down the glass as it's consumed. Perfect balance of fruit and IPA bite. A staple beer for me.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 fezzy (44) - California, USA - MAY 8, 2013
Aromatic hops dominate the nose, mostly orange and other citrus, with other floral/pine/grass notes typical of western states IPAs. Similar flavor, but more intensity in each element. I am concious of the bitter-receiving tastebuds on the distal posterior of my tongue are lit up through a very long finish, but not biting or unpleasant; also aided by the underlying malt to balance. The malts are sweet, this is also something I had to conciously think about, as the brew doesn’t come off sweet nor bitter due to stupendous balance. Tasty stuff that offhand I’d put into my top 20 IPAs at very least.

Bottle. I usually end up rating about the same as everyone else, but I am far from think this is a 97. Maybe I will have to try again, but this one was unforgettable and the taste was slightly off...maybe the heavy malt profile instead of hops? Nope this one was not for me.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Hopped_Silly (236) - California, USA - MAY 5, 2013
Enjoy by 6/20/13 on bottle. Bready malt, honeyed florals and mild orange citrus seems to dominate the aroma, with bitter herbs and grapefruit driving the flavor on the palate. Relatively big and full bodied, with pleasant, spicy, herbal bitterness. Mildly lingering finish of grapefruit citrus and subtle malt. Good.

Got in a trade with swingracex. 12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 6/6/2013. Pours lightly hazy bright orange color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of orange zest, grapefruit, orange rind, tangerine, pine resin, floral, light caramel, and floral earthiness. Very nice aromas with good complexity of hop notes with a moderate malt balance. Taste of orange zest, grapefruit, tangerine, orange rind, pine resin, floral, light caramel, bread, grass, and floral earthiness. Good amount of pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus rind, pine resin, floral, light caramel, and floral earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice flavor balance of pine/citrus hops with a light-moderate malt balance; and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a slightly creamy, very sticky, and crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very nice IPA. Good complexity of hop flavors with a solid malt balance; and very smooth to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jbruner (1118) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAY 3, 2013
Bottle as a birthday gift from my brother! Pours a clear golden orange from the bottle with nice cap of foamy white head and decent lacing. Aroma is citrus and pine hoppy notes with nice caramel malt backbone. Taste follows, slightly bitter finish. Good commercial description on this one, solid beer overall.
