3.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
If they made beer cologne Ė and if they donít they should Ė this wouldnít be a bad place to start.
STYLE: American IPA
LOOK: Creamy head sits nicely atop a surprisingly clear amber, more vinegar than oil. Slow but persistent carbonation up the gut. I can tell already, the lacing, itís there.
NOSE: Classic West Coast IPA. Sugared grapefruit right away. Also orange. Also pineapple. And also nectarines. Thereís a wonderful little piney note, like if you took a citrus cocktail and stirred it with just a needle or two. Tempting and coy.
MOUTH: It canít replicate the nose, and thatís a shame because I had orgasmic hopes for a mouth parade. What I need here is some sweet honey tang and something that sticks in my gums for a minute. This, Iím afraid, is too light to be excellent. But not to get too caught up in the negatives, because there are some, letís cover the positives. Because there are just as many. Sharper pine without being overwhelming. Clever bitterness. And a nice malty gulp.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pour is a cloudy orange with a large white head. Aroma is a very nice dank citrus hop. Flavor is also a nice dank pine hop. Very hop forward and bitter. This is a great drinking IPA.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz bottle purchased as a single at the Whole Foods in Coral Springs, Florida. Best before 11/02/14. The pour is a hazed orange yellow golden with a well formed light tan head. The aroma is dank resin, rounded citrus fruit and floral. The taste is peanut shells initially, then opens to floral, bitter resin and finishes with grass. The palate is medium bodied with soft carbonation and dry floral grass finish. Smelled better than it tasted, perhaps not so fresh.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
12oz bottle, pours copper amber, small head retention. Pine and citrus nose followed by some lite tropical fruit. Citrus bitterness up front, gives way to pine, citrus and lite pineapple flavors in the background. The bitterness continues to balance the mild caramel sweetness. Good IPA.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a clear orange golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have a pale, toasted malt base with some mild caramel sweetness, grassy, mild pine notes, some citrus character. Decent enough.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Orange color pour. Palate is sharp and bubbly. Initial taste is good, but aftertaste is wheaty and grainy. More wheat than hoppy in the aftertaste. Wouldn't buy it again.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle poured into a shaker. Aromas of pineapple and bread crust greet the nose with touches of orange zest and lemon. It pours a light, unfiltered hazy orange-yellow with a creamy, off-white, bubbly head that recedes to a medium puffy ring with puffy islands and leaves behind lots of clingy, bubble lace. Itís nicely balanced between medium bitter and medium sweet. The texture is creamy with an abundant, but lightweight carbonation. The body is medium / medium-light. Notes of pine come through more on the mouth than nose and it pairs with bread crust and orange cream. The finish is clean, dry, and crisp with a light pine aftertaste and some citrus coming in late.
