Formerly known as Hop Notch. Wonderful complex flavos, like no other, simply a great tasting IPA. It’s balanced, strong malt backbone, citrusy nose, with hints of pine and grass.

Bottle via stateline. Poured into a snifter, amber colored orange, decent head. Danky aroma of hops on the nose. Reminds me of a "wet" hopped brew. Taste isnt bitter but still hoppy. Flowers, a little danky/wet hop taste. Well balanced, easy to drink. Body: Light, low/medium carbonation. Overall: Nice IPA, that I would drink/buy again. Thanks to Matt for the recommendation.

Pine and caramel malts on the nose, pours a clear light amber with a full white head. Nice clean hop flavor, with a good balance. Slightly slick mouthfeel, nice lingering hop finish. If you’re a fan of the more balanced IPA’s, then this would be one to pick up.

Best by 03MAY13 Nice golden with a solid quilt of fine creamy foam. Smells classic west coast: resin, weed, pine, grapefruit and BO. Nice nose. Flavor is up front bitter with a malty (crackers, biscuit and some sweet english crystals) backbone. There is a good resin bitterness with a spicy flavor and some good midpoint purple kush. Medium on nearly full bodied with fine, moderated carb and a watery finish. Nice beer. I probably won’t go out of my way for this one, but would drink on tap locally, particularly with a good spicy meal or pizza.

On tap at Taco Mac. Pours copper with a small head. The aroma is caramel, orange rinds, and some earthy notes. The flavor is pleasantly bitter, with a good malt backbone. The palate is light to medium and uneventful. This is a good IPA, but doesn’t really stand out.

UPDATED: MAY 12, 2014 12 oz bottle This was purchased at The Caboose in Ashland, VA. The ale poured a hazy orange. There was a nice head and frothy white head with lacing down the glass. . There is a strong apricot taste . There is nice floral taste that is detected at the finish. This is excellent IPA great appearance and the apricots make this a unique ale. The carbonation is average but creates a nice head. This is a winner with a nice dry finish that has you coming back for more.

Knotty, piney, resinous aroma indicates a strong, bitter IPA. Glowing hazy orange does not contradict that prediction. Flatly bitter with a good malt contrast that tries very hard to balance the beer out. A solid IPA headin towards the heavy extreme.
