Bottle @ home. Pretty cool puke green, recycled paper label. Moderately hazy dark orange appearance with a fluffy white head. Really a nice grapefruit, orange citrusy, slightly piney hoppy, sweet pale malty aroma. Dessert pale malty, slightly spicy, grapefruit citrusy hoppy flavor. Booze is hidden well. Surprisingly a pretty nice IPA.

Bottle from..California. Brassy copper honeycombed with white. Florid, tinned peach and mandarin aroma with enough hop freshness to keep it the right side of cloying. I’m not a fan of US IPAs that taste like London Pride but this pulls it off with aplomb.. and added soapy hop, digestive biscuit malt, husk, tangerine and peach. A bit throatsweet-y but I like it.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Dogbrick (6014) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - DEC 16, 2012
Clear orange-amber pour with a medium thin frothy off-white head that diminishes steadily. Short strings of lacing. Aroma oh hops, malt and pine. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, caramel malt and fruit, The finish is moderately bitter with a lingering piney hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

Courtesy of SuperDave. Thanks man. 12oz bottle pours clear copper with off white head. The aroma is mild with muted spicy hops to earthy hops along with hints of sweet malts. The taste is similar with spicy hops running into earthy hops near midway and supported by some sweet malt notes. It seems to mirror the nose closely. Nice and easy drinking but the whole hop experience is on the light side for the style. I actually expected something bolder than this.

355mL thanks to tastybeer. Pours a clear orange with a medium, yellow, rockier head with nice retention and stickier lacing. Nose is fresh cantaloupe, honey, pine, cheesier hops. Taste is aggressively bitter, piney, sappy, no off character. Thankfully not astringent. No sugar or red apples. No orange candies. Nice.

August 23, 2012 - 12oz bottle shared by sledutah. I go from zero Utah ratings to three in the space of 20 minutes - awesome! Slightly hazy amber-tinged gold with a smallish frothy/foamy off-white head. Floral/resin aroma, catty, only a little sweetness to the backing malt. Taste follows, more citrus, quite pungently catty, not all that floral, the malt really just frames the bitterness, but it’s balanced. Average body, mild carbonation, lightly astringent, finishes surprisingly quickly - slightly dry linger. Would love to try this on tap.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ernest (5609) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JAN 23, 2012
Bottle (Jan 11, 2012 bottling).
Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing.
Body is light amber.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, cookie), moderately hoppy (resin, grapefruit), lightly yeasty (dough, basement), with a light note of dried mango.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery/ texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic.
Very fresh bottle. Some tropical fruit in the nose but the hops are mostly the usual resin-and-grapefruit style loved by Americans. Some sugar cookie helps. Much less abrasive and punishing in the mouth than most, making for a nice mouth experience (I could see some arguing it’s too sweet for the style, and I wouldn’t argue, but it’s not syrupy or fatiguing at all and just gives a sense of richness). Overall decent.
