Formerly known as Hop Notch. Wonderful complex flavos, like no other, simply a great tasting IPA. It’s balanced, strong malt backbone, citrusy nose, with hints of pine and grass.

12 fl oz bottle at the beer bar inside NK Saluhall, lowest level of the NK building in Stockholm. Very nice place. Sampled on November 14, 2012.

My Bottom Line :
This nearly crisp IPA sets forth grapefruit and flower aromas in a smooth body meant for easy drinking.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-A creamy head of foam sits atop the misty amber shine.
-This might not be the most explosive IPA, but everything it does it does very well.
-Carbonation feels natural, which I like.
-Grassy hop resins conclude each sip in a tasteful fashion.

SUprisingly solid ipa. Rich and citrusy, slight pine, medium bitterness, way better than I expected.

UPDATED: NOV 6, 2013 1) Bottle from..California. Brassy copper honeycombed with white. Florid, tinned peach and mandarin aroma with enough hop freshness to keep it the right side of cloying. I’m not a fan of US IPAs that taste like London Pride but this pulls it off with aplomb.. and added soapy hop, digestive biscuit malt, husk, tangerine and peach. A bit throatsweet-y but I like it. 2) Tap, PBR Rockbar and Grill, Las Vegas, 29/10/13. Peach iced tea, caramel-dripped nose. Burnt orange amber with a thin head and messy lace. Sweetly floral with a bright uncomplicated honey and peach thing, maybe pecan. 636713.

Bottled. Poured clear, lighter orange with a creamy, well-retained white head. The aroma picked up juicy orange, apricot, and other fruity hops over sweet caramel and lesser biscuity notes.. a little aspartame right on the back of the nose.. solid. The flavor found sweet caramel and a bit of bready malts at the core, with quasi-juicy pine and orangey bitterness around.. finished bitter and engaging, with citrus and pine leading. Light-medium bodied with a good feel through the palate.. moderate carbonation.. good stuff!

12oz bottle: Pours a clear bright golden brass with a stringy-lacing white head. Has a fresh resiny piney hoppy nose with a touch of sweet, lightly toasted caramel malt. Body starts with pretty good fullness and fine carbonation with a light malty sweetness which quickly reveals the grapefruity hop bitterness and flavor within. Finishes drier, clean and bittersweet. True to style and dangerously drinkable.

Courtesy of SuperDave. Thanks man. 12oz bottle pours clear copper with off white head. The aroma is mild with muted spicy hops to earthy hops along with hints of sweet malts. The taste is similar with spicy hops running into earthy hops near midway and supported by some sweet malt notes. It seems to mirror the nose closely. Nice and easy drinking but the whole hop experience is on the light side for the style. I actually expected something bolder than this.

Bottle. Amber beer with a dark cream head. Summer fruit and grapefruit aroma with light caramel. Grapefruit and pine flavor with summer fruit and malt. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine lingers with summer fruit and light earth.

On tap @ Public House in Vegas. Hazy deep orange amber, lacy head. Floral hops mingle with sweet malts on the nose. Crunchy cereal malts support intense hop structure that is more piney and earthy than the nose suggests. Long bitter finish. Very good.
