Big tan/white head, nice retention great lacing clear golden amber... grapefruity fairly pungent green hop aroma... very green, tastes like the hops are added very very late, like chewing on a hop, grapefruity, piney... Dry medium body lightly creamy mouthfeel fairly carbonated...

12ox bottle from a six pack that cost me $7.99. Clear orange color, creamy head, good lacing. Smells like caramel and orange rind, not bad at all. Flavor is hoppy, citrus orange rind but has a pretty good malt backing to it. Overall, not bad and a good value but I am s biased towards west coast IPAís. Sampled a bottle poured into a tulip glass, this ale had a medium orange pour with some red hues and gave a white one finger cover of bubbles, it left nice spots and small fingers of lacing on the glass, the nose had aromas of orange and grapefruit citrus hops, toasted malt and bread, fruit and malt sweetness, the flavors were pine and fruit citrus hops, toasted malt and a little bread, some malt sweetness, the finish had a medium hop bitterness that lingered on the tongue, malt and fruit followed, the mouth feel was about medium, maybe a touch less, it was creamy and had soft to average carbonation, the nose was fruity with orange and grapefruit hops, the flavor was pretty much the same, the hops were fruity with nice toasted malt, a decent IPA drink, I would recommend.

Bottle. Pours a very orangey pale amber with a medium-sized off white head. Aroma is heavy on the hops -- very resinous, with some citrus and pineapple. Flavor is balanced. Lots of caramel malt and resinous, citrusy hops. Thick mouthfeel.

UPDATED: JUN 6, 2015 The appearance fuses a hazy orange color with a medium off-white head that has a good retention, and the aroma is reminiscent of resin, grassy, and floral hops the second your nose gets close to the rim of the glass. The taste is mildly bitter, a touch sweet, and a touch sour, and the aftertaste is grassy; furthermore, the palate combines a sticky texture, soft carbonation, and a medium body.

Solid IPA. Nose of citrus and pine resin. Deep amber, small head. Taste of citrus and grapefruit and caramel and sweet malts; good balance between strong malts and strong bitter hops. Bitter finish. Mouth is almost cloying, not with sticky sweetness but with sticky resin.

December 20th, 20120 - After the Baba Black comes Uintaís Hop Notch IPA (now named the Hop Nosh.) Itís a dramatically poised bear, with a conical head that looks like the hats from the Safety Dance music video, lumbering atop a murky, hazy orange marmalade colored beer. The smell radiates from this cone of foam, filled with cotton candy, pine and smells of chinook, wet fall leaves and cloves. The body is of medium weight with medium carbonation, which amps up a little at the end with a sudden burst of strength and effort, even if the aftertaste is short. The flavor at the beginning of the sip relies a little more on pine notes to carry the day but is otherwise flat on flavor. The mid-taste introduces some potpourri floral elements, and the aftertaste brings in some unripe, bitter grapefruit. So, bitter fans might enjoy this. While I appreciate the foamís spectacle, itís not my favorite style to drink.
