Deep gold-light copper, clear, off white head. Aroma of piney hops, biscuity malt. Flavor: grainy/biscuity malt, piney-resiny hops with mild citrus, clean and crisp with a little lingering bitterness in the finish. Refreshing and well- made.

Flaska@Monks Sveavägen. Bärnstensfärgad vätska med fingertjockt skum. Doft av citrus och ananas. Fruktig och kraftig beska i smaken. Lite tunn munkänsla. Bästa hitills från detta bryggeri.

Pint pour of oerfectly golden elixir with a full faint off white head. Nose is hop forward, citrus and deep tropical like fruits. Mild biscuit like malt. Flavor is fairly hop forward as well with deep citrus and tropical fruit. Medium body with nice hop lingering finish. Clean and well done.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
A wipe array of odd flavors. The malt is metallic, the hops have been stretched way to far, and there is a really off soapy aftertaste. Does not look good in the glass, .1 point for solid lacing. Looks bad, promising for a second, then bad.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
A: Pours a typical golden amber color with average clarity and a fairly vibrant color. An aggressive pour yielded a three finger offwhite color head with average retention and solid lacing. The head retains a lot more strongly away from the inside of the glass.
S: The hops lead the way here, there’s a blend of tropical fruits such as mango and passion fruit, some floral notes, and a bit of pine. Hiding behind the hoppiness is a subtle malt backbone.
T: The hop profile on the opening sip is primarily floral/piny in nature - I can tell this one uses Centennial hops. This is a fairly fresh bottle (about 30 days old), so the aforementioned hops haven’t degraded to the point where they start tasting soapy. This hop bitterness washes away near the finish to reveal a pleasant caramel maltiness and only a slight hint of butter, giving it a solid (if not amazing) balance. All in all, this is a typical IPA, just done well (and fresh!)
M: Slick bodied, with only minor dryness in the finish. Not quite a palate killer, though you can still feel some lingering bitterness on the tongue.
O: Very solid IPA, but beware that it behooves you to drink it fresh. I got this for a solid price ($9/6 pk.), but I don’t know if this would be a go to IPA for me. Still pretty damn good regardless.

Aroma is kind of mild. But is citrusy and pine. Flavor is good bitterNess, and a clean palate. Finishes a bit sticky oily. Overall a good ipa. No lacing, clear.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
32oz Growler, nice fresh batch from mid-December 2011. Served at around 45F.
Pours lightly cloudy yellow/orange/gold with a nice two finger off-white head that leaves beautiful sticky drippy rings of clumpy lacing and holds a nice cap. Purty!
Aroma starts with real nice citrus, mostly tangerines, some lemon, some pineapple, grapefruit, touch of apricot, along with floral, grassy and pine notes underneath, some light cracker malt as well. Very nice.
Flavor is juicy citrus, tangerines, orange, some grapefruit, pineapple, apricot, a little pine and grass, light bready malt, mild sweetness, and very nice bitterness on the finish.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, a little creamy, a touch sticky, good carbonation.
Impressive! I’ve been hearing nothing but good things and after missing out on a batch of bottles at the store, I HAD to snag a growler before it disappeared and I’m glad I did. Very juicy IPA, incredibly drinkable and one I will definitely buy again in the future!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pint on tap at A.J.’s in Chicago. Bright orange appearance and lively carbonation. The smell is hopped-grapefruit and the taste is pure grass. Fresh. Medium bodied. A little too bitter for my tastes. It’s a bold IPA that’s well worth the low price, although I’d have trouble drinking more than one.

Bottle. Pine balanced with sweet malts. Resiny. A bit thin in the middle. Sweetness comes out strong towards the end. Dry and bitter finish.
