COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly known as Hop Notch. Wonderful complex flavos, like no other, simply a great tasting IPA. It’s balanced, strong malt backbone, citrusy nose, with hints of pine and grass.

12 oz can from neighbor Bob B. - thanks! I hate to say this but I felt overwhelmed and blitzed by the profusion of hops. Pull it back a bit and you might have had a beer worthy of such high ratings, but not this one as it is now. I can’t comment on the other flavors because I couldn’t taste anything else.

UPDATED: FEB 16, 2015 Excellent! Pour is an amber/golden (SRM~8) color with medium size off white head. Aroma tropical fruit and peach. Taste is all about the hops, lots of tropical fruit flavors, some pine, plenty of bitterness. Malt is present to back up the hops but does not get in the way.

Appearance: pours with a medium but very dense beige head, the beer is a slightly hazy average gold color with an orange hue to it Aroma: kind of faint under the dense head, cream, hints of grass Taste: strong malt backbone, malt is a caramel roasted flavor, similar to dales pale ale, bitter finish Palate: average carbonation, medium to heavy mouthfeel, slightly bitter aftertaste Overall: this is a strong beer, very strong malt backbone, I feel like the malt leads this beer and the hops are there to counter it, the bitterness is there buts fangs are taken our by the strong maltiness ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
