Formerly known as Hop Notch. Wonderful complex flavos, like no other, simply a great tasting IPA. Itís balanced, strong malt backbone, citrusy nose, with hints of pine and grass.

UPDATED: MAR 27, 2012 This is a rather Amazing IPAófrom Utah, no less. As craft beerís popularity grows, the IPA has become something of a showpiece for breweries. Everyone strives to come with a brew that has that bold, hoppy flavor with the strong grapefruit and pine notes dancing on your tongue. The trouble is that, the bolder you go with the hops, the more likely end up with something that has a more astringent finish than is desirable. I donít know what secret these guys have discovered, but this beer really rounds off the bad corners that IPAs often have while sacrificing none of the bold flavors. The alcohol is also a notch or two lower than a lot of IPAs, which I think really enhances the overall drinkability.

This beer lived up to itís name. Looked like an IPA, Smelled like an IPA, and Tasted like and IPA. It must be one. This one is top notch in my book.

Nice citrus (tangerine/orange) and spicy hop aroma and flavor. Bready and sweet malt flavor. Moderate bitterness.

Nice and light, crisp without that baked bread malt character. Very nice. Hop character is citrus, pine and very clean, no metallic notes at all. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2014 Pours a clear light copper color. Decent tight head. Aroma is hoppy upfront with a grapefruit and orange peel note. Taste follows the Aroma with some hops bitterness hanging around. This is a great hop foreword beer. Medium mouth feel. Good price aswel $9 for a 6 pack

MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: fruity, citrus, pineapple, mango, passion fruit, very bitter, bit medicinal, some caramel. Aftertaste: piny, bitter, citrus, some pineapples, resinous, passion fruits, very dry and bitter.

A - loads of citrus fruit, apricot, and mango. A - poured a clear pale gold with minimal head. T -sweet malt flavors kept in balance by bitterness. Hop flavors of citrus and apricot & mango agree withthe aroma. P - medium bodied with a hint of hop and malt stickiness kept in check by good carbonation. O - Great beer overall. Iíd describe this a Wyldís big brother. Tastes like a fuller bodied version of Uinta Wyld. Which is a complement as Wyld is a fine pale.

Nice bright color from this beer, small white head. Very citrusy for an IPA, but thatís what I like. I would compare it overall to Bellís Two Hearted Ale, but slightly less flavorful. Overall a great beer, the 7.3% ABV is nice too, as itís .3 more than Two Hearted.

The hazy amber body, and the relatively small, but durable, head gave this beer an attractive look. The smell was mostly citric hops with some overtones of hay. The taste had a crisp bitterness from the generous levels of hops, and the malt was biscuit like and light. The finish was citric and slightly spicy. If there was anything to dislike about this beer, it was the slightly metallic aftertaste. The body was medium thick, and allowed the hops to coat the tongue. This was well put together IPA for me.
