3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from the bottle into a trumpet glass to drink. The beer had a semi-cloudy amber color with an average sized foamy white head with good cling and lacing. The aroma featured citrus hops, with touches of pine and straw, and a very light malt presence. Its taste had a bitter citrus flavor with a grainy component, and a slight sourness as well. It was a very dry beer with average carbonation to go with a full body and mouthfeel.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours clear gold with a thin white head. Lots of citrus aroma of pineapple, peach, grapefruit, and perhaps some pear of apple. Taste has much more pine than the initial impressions. The citrus is much more muted and is replaced with a grassy flavor. Good amount of bitter hops, while neither the bitterness or hops is overpowering while drinking. The bitterness hits you in the aftertaste. Dry, medium bodied, with a sticky palate. This one is alright, but not as full or tasteful as others in this style.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A clear medium amber body with a white head that had great retention and mild lace. Aroma had some corn malts, a nice peach note and mild hops, mostly grapefruit. Flavor was more fruity than sweet. No real caramel malt base, but peach notes were nice. Hops were slightly bitter in the finish. A smooth body and easy to drink.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle (Jan 11, 2012 bottling).
Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing.
Body is light amber.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, cookie), moderately hoppy (resin, grapefruit), lightly yeasty (dough, basement), with a light note of dried mango.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery/ texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic.
Very fresh bottle. Some tropical fruit in the nose but the hops are mostly the usual resin-and-grapefruit style loved by Americans. Some sugar cookie helps. Much less abrasive and punishing in the mouth than most, making for a nice mouth experience (I could see some arguing itís too sweet for the style, and I wouldnít argue, but itís not syrupy or fatiguing at all and just gives a sense of richness). Overall decent.

Clear, off white head, orange colored. The taste is caramel, weird vegetal taste, grass, leafy, and some bitterness. The smell is pine, caramel, sweet, hops, and grassy.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Taco Mac. Pours copper with a small head. The aroma is caramel, orange rinds, and some earthy notes. The flavor is pleasantly bitter, with a good malt backbone. The palate is light to medium and uneventful. This is a good IPA, but doesnít really stand out.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On draft in a normal pint glass in Norristown, PA. A really nice IPA...strong citrusy hops doing their best to emulate a West Coast brew, but coming out just a touch weaker. Still, this is not a bad thing as the beer is extremely drinkable and not so syrupy. Iíve tried several Uinta brews and this is my favorite so far. An IPA worth adding to your arsenal.
