COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly known as Hop Notch. Wonderful complex flavos, like no other, simply a great tasting IPA. It’s balanced, strong malt backbone, citrusy nose, with hints of pine and grass.

UPDATED: JAN 19, 2013 12oz bottle. Standard orange colored IPA with thin white head. Hops are quite noticeable, but take a backseat to the malt profile. More of a piney hop flavor and a bit stinky in the nose once it warms. Meh, it’s okay. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Great flavor and aroma if you love hops. Nice citrus notes. Strong, but doesn’t have the heavy taste and palate of an imperial, great beer.

[7436-20150730] 12floz bottle. Grainy orange hops aroma. Clear, orange body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Bitter grainy orange hops and sweet citrus peel flavour. Medium body. Good, possibly a little stale but the date has passed. (8/4/8/4/16) 4.0

Has all the qualities I look for in a good IPA, just a little too bitingly bitter to be one of my favorites.

Poured from the 6-pack of bottles, nice dark orange with a mock turtle neck white collar. This is probably the 7th or 8th six pack of this beer i have purchased and enjoyed but have never gotten around to rating it. It just goes down too fast, parties start, visitors come over, good things happen, so I saved one in the back of the fridge. It’s really good beer, I’m going back to the store for more.

Would have guessed this was a weak imperial ipa instead of a strong regular ipa. Very nice malt and smooth.

Bottle. Slightly hazy orange golden, small white head. Very minor nose, less hoppy than expected taste. Medium body, average carbonation.

Pours a amber/ orange tint and slight haze. with a thick head of foam that slowly fell to to some chunky lace and nice legs too. Nose is grapefruit, pine and grass. A great big whiff of bread but then the malt disappears for a minute behind some herbal and grassy dank. Taste is delightful with ample malts, lots of oily piney hops, a little bit of sour grapefruit. Bitterness fades fast in the aftertaste as this one leaves smooth and dry. Very nice.

From a can poolside at the Tuscony Suites Las Vegas. Fruity aromas of all apricot and cane sugar. Cloudy orangey gold with a quicky disappearing head. Flavos start off nice and floral and grassy but end a tad too bitter for my taste. Not bad but not my favorite.

I feel like this IPA deserves better ratings. So I score it a little higher than the current average. This is a well balanced IPA with great flavor. I stumbled upon this little gem and decided to give it a try, glad I did. I thoroughly enjoy this brew and will purchase again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
