Wonderful complex flavos, like no other, simply a great tasting IPA. It’s balanced, strong malt backbone, citrusy nose, with hints of pine and grass.

Poured from my home tap with a a bright yellow-orange color and a thick, foamy head, this beer has an aroma of light citrus and woodsy hops combined with a likewise light bready malt character. The flavor is more pronounced, with a bitingly bitter combination of dull grapefruit rind and grass, although there is also a mild malty presence to provide some semblance of balance. The mouthfeel is resinous and substantial, enhancing the bold, bitter flavor. Overall, this is a solid, bright IPA that impresses but doesn’t stand out.

Pours a dark orange color with finger and a half tannish white head that goes down slowly and leaves a blanket of lacing. Smells of light grapefruit, some pine, some grass, oranges, a resinous quality to it, some light bready notes as well as some carmel sweetness. Taste is pretty much like the smell. It starts with grapefruit, oranges, and lemon. Then the malt comes in and balances the beer fairly well. Lots of sweet breadiness. Then the hops of the more bitter variety come back. Lots of resinous pine, as well as some grapefruit and oranges. Nice creamy and smooth mouthfeel to accompany the resinous hops. Medium body. The bitterness lingers after each sip. Wouldn’t mind getting this again. Decent ipa that comes in cans.

Purchased six pack of cans at Binnys Aroma- smells mostly of bread. Not as much hop herbal aromas as i expect to get from an ipa. Appearance- nice burnt orange with a white lingering head. Very clear Taste- Tastes mostly of bread and malt. the hops come in next with a subtle piny and citrus flavor then dissipates quickly Palate- very dry refreshing brew. the bitterness lingers on the palate for quite awhile after tasting. Overall- not really the type of ipa that i prefer. i prefer an ipa to be more hop flavor based instead of malt based. All personal preferences aside i think this is an awesome beer well worth the six pack of cans i purchased.

12oz can 6/8/13 (Binny’s Downers Grove Miz a Six)-40° in Shaker-Pours a slightly hazy goldenish orange with a small loose white head. Aroma of citrus and pine. Taste of the same with big bitterness on the back end. This medium bodied brew is well balanced and quite tasty.

Pours a slightly hazy golden orange with a fairly thick, rocky off0white head that settless lowly and leaves some heaping clingy lace. Nose involves a whole gamut of hoppy goodness: floral, pine, citrus, earthy, herbal along with plenty of honey and sweet grain notes. Balanced sweet and bitter flavor: not over the top with bitterness, but plenty to balance the healthy malt backbone. Medium bodied, vibrant, a touch oily, with a pleasant drying bitterness on the end. A well put together IPA, and well-suited to those who favor some solid malt with their hops.
