3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Straw yellow with a lasting white head. Apricots, lemons and clean steel on the nose. Nice fruity flavors with enough minty-mineral hop profile to match. It says "Belgian Style Pale Ale," but what that means is -- American pale ale with belgian yeast/character. This is quite an intriguing and tasty beer.

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma of hops, mild citrus. Taste follows that on a lower level. Smooth with mild carbonation and bitterness. Not bad but there’s nothing that makes it stand out.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours slightly hazy dark yellow, very light orange. Almost no head or lace. Smells vaguely fruity. Taste is a surprise, apricot maybe? It’s got a good flavor. A little too fizzy for my tongue, but tasty. I’d get it again.

Poured from a bottle into a tulip glass at 50 F. Best if drank by date of March 2014. Poured with thick white head that settled into a thin ring at the edge. Very yeasty aroma immediately after pouring with sweet, pilsner grain and little earthy hop notes later on. Lacing diminished quickly. Color was light gold and a bit cloudy (chill haze?). Apparent pils maltiness and sweetness with moderate earthy hop and low spicy flavor. Honey and a bit warm from alcohol on the finish. A little too sweet and yeasty for me but good on the style. Medium high carbonation went away quickly. I will drink another...cheers!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Live rate. Bottle from Margaritaville, The Strip, NV, drank at The New Penguin, LE10. Warm orange gold with a fine slim cap. Nose of peppery Belgian esters and parsley hop. Decent enough MOR Belgian flavour with wine gum, white pepper, banana and tomato juice hits. Authentic and pretty tasty.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
APPEARANCE / THE POUR: 6.5% ABV. Served at 59 ° F. Pours a medium golden color with a 2-finger head that collapses at a medium rate. A ¼ inch head remains after the head collapses, but there is a nice instance of Brussels lacing on the sides of the glass. AROMA / BOUQUET:
This is one of those beers that the bouquet changes nicely as the beer temperature warms. The initial bouquet is of faint apricot, with some yeastiness and breadiness. As the beer warms, very delicate Belgian vanilla esters develop (around 10-15 minutes). TASTE: Slight dry graininess, grassiness, with hop bitterness in the finish. MOUTHFEEL / PALATE: Hop dryness on the middle of the tongue, bready malt aftertaste. Slightly thin mouthfeel for this style. FOOD PAIRING SUGGESTIONS:
Go with spicy foods with this one. Pizza, Mexican, Thai. OVERALL RATING: A good session beer with good quality, but the taste and mouthfeel leaves this beer short of a “must try.” Like many other newer craft breweries with beers brewed in the Belgian-Style / Belgian Inspired categories, this beer needs further development, but it has potential.
