12 oz bottle. Pours black with a one finger creamy chocolate colored head that leaves a lot of sticky lacing. Aroma of bittersweet chocolate, dark roast coffee, earthy hops, hint of vanilla. Taste is roasty malt, bittersweet chocolate, roasted coffee, hint of caramel. Dry finish of cocoa and roasted malts. Medium body, slightly creamy, slightly oily texture, average carbonation. Excellent beer here. Much bigger taste than expected.

355ml can. Much fuller bodied than the norm, more dark fruitiness as well. But its good for what it is, not a schwarzbier.

Pours black with a medium sized tan head. Aroma is subtle, barley and hops. Flavor is not overpowering like some brews this dark. Very smooth.

12 oz. bottle poured into lager glass. Deep cola color with an adequate creamy off-white head that leaves decent lacing. Pleasant, slightly smoky aroma with some earthy hoppiness. Flavor is roasted malt and coffee with a short hoppy finish. Comes across as a bit thin, but I suppose that makes it more sessionable. Overall enjoyable, but not amazing.

Uinta Baba Black Lager is drinkable and sessionable. Moderate roasted aroma coming from a dark pour and a frothy head. Taste is mild chocolate and coffee notes mixed with malt with a clean finish. Baba Black has the richness of dark beers but the lightness and drinkability of a lager. Real nice!

12-oz can. Pours black with a dense and creamy light gray head that fades quickly. Nice roasty dark malt nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Big bodied for a schwarz. Nice roasty mid palate with a light dry finish. Pretty decent.

Rating #1400ish. Aroma: Light/moderate roasted coffee with a kiss of chocolate; a little earthy hop character; some chalkiness lingers as well. Appearance: Completely pitch black pour with a towering mocha head that fades into a sticky, somewhat bubbly top. Flavor: Roasted coffee malts that fade into a chalky dryness; earthy hops are subtle and easy to miss, but are more apparent upon warming. A little chocolate accompanies the coffee, but is quickly an afterthought. Palate: Light body, sticky texture, soft carbonation, bitter finish. Overall: Nothing too wowing here, but solid all around.
