3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Rating #1400ish. Aroma: Light/moderate roasted coffee with a kiss of chocolate; a little earthy hop character; some chalkiness lingers as well. Appearance: Completely pitch black pour with a towering mocha head that fades into a sticky, somewhat bubbly top. Flavor: Roasted coffee malts that fade into a chalky dryness; earthy hops are subtle and easy to miss, but are more apparent upon warming. A little chocolate accompanies the coffee, but is quickly an afterthought. Palate: Light body, sticky texture, soft carbonation, bitter finish. Overall: Nothing too wowing here, but solid all around.

Pours a dark brown, almost deep red with an off white head. It’s medium bitter with medium body. Kind of thin texture with pretty good carbonation. Finish is a slightly bitter like a porter. Has a very roasted taste on the backend. Very good beer.
