Draft. Dark cherry brown. Nutty malt aroma. The taste adds light chocolate, tobacco, and some char. Light mouthfeel and body with a medium finish. A touch of smokey citrus on the finish too. Very very good. I definitely want more of this one.

From a Uinta shaped bottle into a Blue Mountain Mason jar. Bouts black with moderate brown head. Great Schwartz aroma. Mmmmmmm. Mouthfeel is light but with too much carb. Taste is dirt, mint, minerals, black malt and ink. Good solid schwartzbier. However, the very nice taste is a tad too subdued. If it popped a little more it would be fantastic.

Dark brown with light brown head. Aroma is light roasted biscuit. Flavor is light malt feel but very nice roasted flavor. Slight citrus hop balance. Roast and citrus finish. Probably best black lager I've had.

12 oz can poured. Pours a dark chocolate brown color with a nice roasted malt aroma with a touch of hops. Really enjoyed this one. Super smooth and easy drinking with a ton of flavor. Touch of smoke. Solid, tasty beer.

Smells like a stout. Has a wonderful roasted, smooth chocolate caramel taste. One of the best lagers I have had in a long time. Maybe my fav. Schwartz beer ever.

Pours dark brown almost black with an amber tint and a tan head. Roasted malt smokiness with light chocolate aroma and biscuity yeast. Sweet caramel malt and vanilla start followed with smokey flavor and Dark cocoa. Finishing with slight citrus hop. Makes me want to find a campfire to drink this beside.

12 oz on tap.
clear dark brown liquid. Like a cola. very fine head of white small bubbles. and a nose of roasted malt. Taste of caramel, licorice and a rather dry black coffee flavor with a good amount of roasted malt. The body is thin. Finishes smooth, not syrupy, which is one of it’s finer qualities.

Dark, dark brown pour with a nice beige two-finger head that dissipated after a minute but left nice lacing. Really nice looking beer (poured into shaker from can). Smoke and toast aromas. Smoke, coffee and a hint of caramel, dirt, and dark chocolate. Very drinkable. Would be a good accompaniment to a backyard bbq.
